Go to any solicitors, they shouldn't charge more than about £35 to certify some copies.

If it's set up anything like my place then you can't raise a bill until the AML is all squared off so no-one wants to do any work on the job in case the AML doesn't get signed off and you can't raise a bill.

Did you apply for mortgage through an intermediary? If so, they'll have already done this. I just got mine to email their copies over to my Solicitors.

The reason aml people are tossers is cos it's a actual criminal offence for them not to be. Someone at the firm could properly go to prison if they don't get ID off you. Weird law, but not their fault.
