Looks amazing tho. Shame the price isn't so amazing

  • I'm gonna get me one of those.. just so I can look down my nose at anyone in Rapha..

  • Psych!

  • A new, expensive SJoD. It'll stink in no time.

  • The Milwaulkee is getting stinky.. it's only been a couple of weeks.. not a good sign.

  • Cold wash it with no detergent in the machine- stink begone!

  • Stick it in the dishwasher. Stink definitely gone.

Don't have time to wash and wait for it to dry.

Mal would not appreciate that insertion.

  • I guess not. Find someone who has a mechanical one then.

Blouse- wear it wet, let it dry in your slipstream

Does Danny "Pwoppa Nawty" Dyer own a bike now?

It's mostly been a bit warm for it this winter to be honest. I've got into the habit of wearing mine with a very very thin baselayer underneath and the underarm zips open, but even that has been a bit much.

It comes into its own when standing around in c. 2 degrees waiting for someone with bad tyre judgement to fix a puncture, or on rides like the one I did with dropout, laner and spybot in Norfolk at the end of last year where in the last 10 miles of a 70 mile ride it was dark, freezing and chucking it down with rain. For commuting/riding around London it's just too hot unless it's a few degrees or lower.

I also find myself wishing it didn't have a hood, I never use it and it can get in the way when looking back at traffic over your shoulder.

All this said it is still a great jacket, when the conditions are right for it, or if you like riding slowly ;)

  • +1 Fox. The Milwaukee has been overkill for winter this year. Even the lovely shiney Rapha + PS all city jacket the missus bought me is too much for this mild weather.
Living up to my username no doubt about it!

  • I bought the Milwaulkee cheap last year.
I should know this country has consistently inconsistent weather.

Would you believe that Mal recovered the SJoD from outside where I threw it in a rage and fixed the zip on it so I now have the SJoD BACK IN MOTHERFUCKING ACTION!

That piece of shit will never die.

  • True evil never dies

  • sorry to ask, but what is "SJoD?

  • It's a rather pungent piece of attire that our beloved Hippy insists on wearing to keep other humans away from him.
