If you mean to say they do not share or understand your own experiences or the experiences of less fortunate people - then someone born into a rich family could equally counter that "people born into poor families have a skewed idea of reality, because those less fortunate do not share my experiences."

You are setting your position up as 'reality' and anyone who falls outside of that has a skewed idea of reality.

The best you could get away with if you were being intellectually honest would be - "Some people born into rich families however I think do have a skewed idea of my reality".

My parents grew up on a council estate and for that I am glad.

I know a few people who definitely changed when they became more hungry for money and life's materials- including one of my uncle and my cousins. They've denied that money doesn't change them, but I find it has.
