  • Ok. I may have to pull out. Gimme a bell tomorow and I will find out for you. M

  • Pretty straight forward question, I'm thinking of going Royal Green like an old jag ya'no.

Anyone know somewhere in/around Norwich where I can get this done without it costing a small fortune. I don't mind travelling as I've got a car.

    cheers.

  • I had my frame powder coated at this place,

    http://www.colorcote.co.uk/

my brother recommended it too me, he is into land rovers in a mildy disturbing way and had loads of parts done there previously. I found them to be very helpful and quick!

  • Hahaha. Funny you mention that. My mate works there and I can get good deals. Check the Powdercoat thread in the NVS forum for colour chart and available colour list. Would be looking at around $30 for frame and forks.

  • Oh yeah and if you have a car... Even better! Yay! There are an aweful lot of boys about who want their shit powdered.

  • Sweet

I want my pug to get sprayed, nice royal green. Got an issue though as I really don't how to take a headset apart. Is this a problem?

Now finished for Christmas so looking forward to some riding.

  • Tell you what, come to mine and I'll get the headset off. I have a frame to do as well, we can get them done at the same time - you drop off and I pick up, or vice versa. Win-win.

  • I will have mine done too as long as transport is there

  • sweet sounds good to me, when you thinking?

  • ASAP chap - been sitting on this lovely Thorn frame for months and would like to get.... sitting on it.

  • Tell you what - I have the car today... Give me a bell? 07974 918855

  • Damn only just read this,

I can't really afford it this month now as I went shop shopping at the weekend and overspent.

  • Buy anything nice?

  • Yeah got a new suit, also got a car which I'm gona pay off the end of Jan so money has been a bit tight recently.

Also looking forward to moving to Norwich so I can go riding much more.

p.s. Snow is coming down thick and fast now!

  • I dropped the bike off at the coaters today. Going to take a week, will let you know how they do. Cheap, though; £45 for frame, fork and rack.

  • Not bad. Looking forward to seeing the finished bike. What colour did you go for?

  • Candy pink. And if you don't believe that, you'll just have to wait and see. Can't wait to get the bike built. It's going to be a mile-muncher.

Some of the roads out there hadn't been ridden/walked/driven since the first snow by the look of it. Gorgeous. Even after a couple of weeks of snow, these roads took me back a bit. Like Narnia, but fucking dangerous. Went down hard twice. Same thigh both times! Perhaps a track bike and 23c tires aren't the perfect winter combo...

Good to get the miles in though...

  • I believe you. Pink's your favourite colour after all, you big gayer.

  • £45 is real good.

I only need frame and forks doing, might have to come meet you before long so you can take the headset off my bike, pretty please? I have no idea when it comes to headsets.

I've really wanted to get out on the bike at the weekends but with christmas and stuff I really havn't had a chance too. This weekend is a must.
Yeah I was riding the pug with 25c tires (first time i'd put them on) and was slipping about like crazy, only did a couple of miles and almost fell off!

    Bring on spring!

  • I'll take it off, no problem. I have a range of hammers here, to suit all sorts of jobs...

Where are you going at the weekend? Group ride, anyone?

  • I'm not in. Not after last friday night. Well cold and tracherous. Was good though.

Did you drop off at Colourcote?

Any pictures of the bike yet?

  • Yet to be picked up. They're going to call me when it's done. Not sure how I can get to it if they aren't open on weekends, but I'll cross that bridge...

  • You should bike there and take a strap woth you... Ride back with it like a messenger bag. That would be awesome. Did you go to ColorCote?

  • That's exactly how I dropped it off. In a few inches of snow. The guy who dealt with me said "you must be mad", and his mate said I should buy some gears...

But if they only open office hours, then I'll be stuck in my office, and unable to pick it up.
