could be....

Anyone have some clip on tri-bars I could borrow? I want to see how they feel, with a view to doing the bike part of a relay triathlon at some point. If we can find a swimmer.
-
• #757
Colin, when would you need them? I've got a few tri's coming up but you can borrow them between races
-
• #758
Any time, just want to see how they feel to ride with and more importantly if they'll fit my 25.8mm bars with not much space either side of the stem. Though I'm thinking about changing to ergo bars at some point.

mine are for oversize but think I have some spacers somewhere for them, I'll have a look

Anyone want a set of Sugino messenger 165mm cranks with a 42t chainring for 30 quid?
-
• #761
And a sick beater actually
This bike is great fun, with some good parts, Identiti 26" forks, Halo Freedom Disk rims to System Ex hubs, the frame is a Raleigh mountain bike frame stripped down raw (showing some surface rust at the moment), its got some 4.5" rise BMX bars with the cross bar, then some generic cranks, stem and seatpost. Also got some track ends lying around somewhere that I meant to weld on. Oh and some odyssey pedals with holdfasts and an FSA pig headset
EDIT: I have no idea what its worth though

I'm slowly but surely winning the battle to reduce the amount of bike bits around the house and hopefully these will be the last bikes to see the chop >
Charge Plug, great bike, front fork needs truing as front wheel does not sit central, can be seen in front on pic but otherwise lovely bike. No pedals. £160
GT Force road bike, Shimano groupset, very good condition, mudguards removed but can be provided if still required £175 (Better pictures will follow)
George Brooks frame, bought for a project but too many projects going on and not enough time. No headset. Ding in top tube and seatpost snapped off but frame otherwise lovely.
£50 postedI'm in Mileham (The sticks) but can deliver to Norwich no problem and open to offers due to the convenience of selling local

What's happened to the forks, then? Did you crash the bike? Is the wheel and head tube okay?
Have been thinking about a disc-braked single speed. Could replace the fork...
-
• #766
Sparky yes it was crashed, wheels were trued by LBS as they weren't too bad, headtube is ok.
Also
Brooks frame dimensions are: Toptube 58, Seattube 56/57, Headtube 14.5, Downtube 64
GT dimensions: Seatube to top tube 56, Top tube 56, headtube 17

Ah large is too big, I'm 6 1 and I ride a medium plug. That'll be way to big for my sis.
-
• #768
Not if she wears platforms!!!!
-
• #769
Haha. Cheers for the bottle cages Gav.
-
• #770
No problem fella
-
• #771
Might be intertested in the Plug but will have to check the sizing on my current bike to see how it compares.
-
• #772
If it helps I'm 5.10. Better still you're welcome to try it for size
-
• #773
Cheers. It might be a bit big but I could give it try. Will PM you.

Anyone have a 29.8mm seatclamp kicking about that they want to trade for beer?

Need to remove a rounded track nut and get a replacement. Going to be in Norwich at 3.40 tomorrow, where is best to get this done? Bike is un-rideable so needs to be fairly central to train station...
