Well done son. Best bet is the bay. What are your new wheels? Did you go for Halo in the end?
-
• #503
Yeah - aero rage front, aero track rear... chuffed with em, they're a bargain for the money.
-
• #504
I got a 'rage upfront... Tis all good.
-
• #505
Anyone need a Deathtrap? I'm selling one.
-
• #506
That's the shit - ordering me some of that! Cheers...
Got myself some of that white cinelli mash volee car tape today :)

• #507
I'm still looking for a supercheap wheelset if anyone's got some lying about
-
• #508
Rikki, track or road?
Also while here, does anyone know where I can find a 5 spoke front wheel?
-
• #509
I've got a few 32 spoke wheels you could trim down?
-
• #510
Not quite what I meant, more like this >
-
• #511
You don't want one of those: they're heavy and make you look like a hipster.
-
• #512
I don't mind weight, it makes you work harder. And I like the look. For a project. Got a 'regular' fixie for when I want to look 'normal' :o)
-
• #513
£320 English pounds (including hipster tax).

A much better deal than any spok, this wheelset is a great buy in many ways.
-
• #516
I think you may be right, didn't realise they were quite that expensive, more than I wanted to spend on a little project. Got another idea now
-
• #517
Yeah they look cool. My rear was 100 new hand built by moi. Got Gran compe hub on a deep v velocity laced 3 cross with Halo dounle butted spokes. Really mice rear wheel.

Rikki, track or road?

Either, preferably track

Would anyone be interested in my hardly-used Tacx Sirius turbo trainer? I found pedalling in front of the TV very dull, would rather just wait for better weather. £80 to any of you lot, you'd also need to invest in some special nuts (fnaar) if you wanted to use it on anything with track nuts.

I'm broke and very tempted to sell my lovely ~1990 Raleigh 531-cluxe.
It's a 58cm, couple of the normal nicks and scratches but mostly pristine, beautiful ivory/yellow/silver/celeste fade paintjob (sounds horrible but it works).
Comes with:
Cinelli stem (believe it's a 1R, but w/ the old style Cinelli logo) and Criterium bars, both in very good condition
Shimano 600 headset that needs a service
Unknown square-taper BB
Campag aero seatpost, shiny
White Selle Italia Turbo saddle, bit scuffed and faded but in generally good conditionFrom the limited bit of research I did when I came by it, seems like these are pretty rare items. Horizontal Gipiemme dropouts mean it would be an easy (and seriously good-looking) conversion - just add wheels, cranks, a brake (and the rest).
Any local offers before I stick it in the Classifieds?

£10
-
• #522
I could go as high as £30. Where was your desperation when I got runover?
-
• #523
No desperation. Would keep it and build it up myself, but its been gathering dust for months. Money needs spending on my Surly & got a cyclescheme voucher on the way for a nice new road tool.. I do want a classic lightweight but will probably just pick up a complete one from here as & when.. this one aint old enough for l'Eroica..
-
• #524
I will give ya £20 for seat and post. Sell everything else on the bay/ classifieds!
Winner!

How much did ya get it for? I think Donny was a bit gutted when ya bit the secy gees hand off. Let im know blood.
Hussah - I got £65 bang on the nail for the wheels on ebay :)
