I'm after something similar for a retro ride next year, but I can't have it became a money-pit so probably going to buy a complete beater on eBay and clean it up.

L'Eroica?
What about the one you had with a rack? (Thorn?)
-
• #1329
I've ridden L'Eroica, great fun. But want to go back to Flanders for the Retro Ronde I think. My Thorn would just about do it, but I'd like an old road bike, really. If anyone sees anything in 59-61cm, give me a shout.

Hey Sparky, a 61cm mustard yellow Peugeot racer (only 501 unfortunately) in reasonable condition came into Bike Links today. I started stripping it down just before I left, and the rear wheel is a gonner, but the front is ok, frame is good apart from a few rusty bits, and things should work fine once re-cabled and set up. We should have it done soon, could be good for you?

Interesting... Got any pics?
Would probably be building a set of retro-looking but strong modern wheels for it anyway, so not necessarily a problem.
-
• #1332
Thross, do you guys have a double bottom bracket available on the cheap?
-
• #1333
Sparky - sorry, no pics yet, if you're still interested by weds next week I'll take my camera into work and get some for ya, just let me know.
Spiderpie - Double bottom bracket? If you mean one that'll fit a double chainring, then most likely. We stock a few sizes, but it'll be far easier if you work out what kind length you need beforehand. Once you've got the size we have new options from about 7 quid up to about 20, or you could go secondhand if you're less bothered about it being silky smooth/sealed.

If it's for the Triomphe you'll need ISO taper.
-
• #1335
Ah yes, good shout ben, I think we only get JIS, although I'm sure one of our trade accounts would stock ISO...

Any one got a crankset going spare?
Ideally 47t and 165 long but depending on what's available I could be swayed -
• #1337
I have an fsa vero crank with gebhardt chainring going. I think it's a 47t ring with 170 cranks but I'll confirm in the morning.

I can meet you in dandy horse tomorrow?
And sjc, sorry for not getting back to you about the crankset, are you still after some? I'll measure them this morning
-
• #1345
i'm still semi interested Rikki depending on prices and what they are.
I splashed out on a crankset from planet x and broke them within a mile so need to return them anyway was going to ask for another set but if yours are cheaper and decent i might just go with them -

I have a pair of Polished H Plus Son Formation Face rims in 36 hole drilling for sale, £15 each, and a SL42, polished again in 36 hole for £15 too.
I'm also a BLB dealer, so if anyone needs anything from Brick Lane, I can more than likely supply them at a bit less than the suggested retail.
