Friday Night Norwich City Rides

Very short notice but Prezet and I are doing a cake ride to Holt tomorrow if anyone wants to join. Starts 0900 from Taverham, will be gears and Lycra. With warm clothes over.

This was going to be my first Friday ride, or a least I was seriously considering it, before a sharp left-hander, too much speed, greasy roads and 23cs with practically no sidewall grip left me with a dislocated shoulder, an impacted knee, a battered hip and a skinless elbow on Sunday night.

Bloody typical, just as the weather is getting nicer and work is getting busier too.

Nasty, hope you get better soon. Did you knacker the bike?

Cheers for the concern Jules. Funnily enough, the only thing that's wrong with the Holdsworth is a tiny wobble on the front rim, which I'm not convinced wasn't there beforehand! Oh, and there's a little nick on my bartape, but that just adds character. I'm going to try a short roll down the road later, just to see how I fare.

Due to shitty train nonsense I didn't get to bring a bike this week. I am out and about on Kirsty's bike (with furlongs of seat post) but don't think I'll make it far. Up for a beer though.

Would love a beer or 3 but i am at work til midnight. On a totally different note, me and a mate went out doing fixed gear freestyle last night. Was awesome. So much fun! From 1:00-4:00am. Was cold and kept snowing. I then got a flat tyre riding up some stairs. Met a tramp called Mikey the Pikey. He rolled with us on his Raleigh granny basher for a bit. Was dope!
