Though HL2 itself came out in 2004. HL2:EP1 came out in 2006 and HL2:EP2 came out in 2007. I believe TF2 and Portal were new in 2007, also.

But yes, solid game. One of my favourites.

It just started to show it's age now, EP2 was brilliant to play.

Wolfenstein was like that (that was a great games).

I remember waiting for HL2 to come out in the early 2000's and how ridiculously excited I was about it. Then it did come out and it was mind-blowing how good the game was. Holy crap. And playing it now is still amazing - the Strider battle at the end of Ep2 is probably my favourite sequence in the history of gaming.

its great they donot make games like this anymore,if its not call of duty,nothing wrong with that,then they donot seem able to make any other type of game,i got bought hitman 3 for xmas

Just Cause 2 ridiculously cheap on Steam at the minute!

It's a great game. Most fun when played sneakily. Extra cred for not killing anyone or getting detected. Enjoy Hatbeard

I'm replaying it doing just that. Hardest mode, no kills or detects. I couldn't do it without using Blink though.

Hitman on sale again on steam. Have got a few games in the sale this year. Well worth waiting for the sales and buying then.

Dishonoured looks great. Is it as good as the trailer made out (a rarity these days)

I just completed HL2 Ep2 very recently. The whole HL series is fantastic. Even though a) as a mac user I'm five years behind everyone else, and b) the fuckers are really making us wait for part 3.

Definitely, it's still £2.50 or something right? So, so much fun. And the multiplayer mod looks amazing, still in beta as far as i'm aware.

Just picked up Far Cry for £1.74, christ I love Steam.

Though my wallet really doesn't.

just made it to the flooded district after the thing [spoiler avoided] with the bloke in dishonoured.

those assassins are tricky buggers.

playing it mostly non-lethal unless i fuck up and get spotted. haven't really been taking full advantage of devouring swarm or possession yet. think those may be the key to the bits i struggle to get through unseen.

does seem like the key to finding a path unseen is just, look at your objective, ignore the route you can see, take the least obvious turning and or jump on nearest thing until you can't go any higher.

I was a genocidal maniac when I played it.
Even when I tried to be stealthy I end up killing everyone.

Play Portal 1 and 2 while you wait, Portal 2 have reference to Ep3.

finished dishonoured last night. a lot shorter than I thought it would be at 9 missions even with the optional detour side-missions.

Still good fun through. On my 3rd play though now in kill-everything mode. Really enjoying the ability to replay with meaningful different styles and outcomes.
