  • Oh wait, is it only a google phone thing? I saw app and thought it was downloadable for all phones, which i cant do as blackberry sent me a phone without their app world

  • I don't think that I can justify buying Civ 5 for myself, I've already got too many other games to play at the moment, but if anyone else can, steam codes for it and its expansion can be had from here http://www.getgamesgo.com/product/civ-v-goty-civ-v-gk-bundle for £9.99 at the second.

  • Anyone played Hotline Miami I keep hearing about?

  • Gamestop currently have Farcry 1,2,3 for £5 ... it's digital download, and probably a msitake. Paypal didn't work for me, used CC instead.

  • Nope shows as $69 for me :(

  • Shows as 5 quid for me but I don't have a PC

  • Bought it for the £5. Have a mac...

Time to work out that whole bootcamp thing.

  • How do I change to £?

  • It's down the bottom of the page, but I believe it's back to £55 now

  • Hit level 80 in GW2. Bad ass.

Just need to save up karma for some redunculous armour now. :D

  • Hit level 80 in GW2. Bad ass.
    :D

you should try getting up and moving about more during extended bouts of gameplay.

  • Hah!

Took me longer than I'd like to admit to work out what you did there, but now... I see it.

  • Dark souls - prepare to die edition for £20

    worthwhile purchase?

  • I have much DS love at the moment, use buy it.
If you like being killed a lot and not progressing very far, very often.

  • Brainzzz! War Z on steam.

  • Definitely. Awesome game. Don't give up.

  • Unfortunately that^^ is not a standalone release of Day Z, it's some kind of copy, as you were.

this appeals and dismays in equal measures, I'll happily bang my head against some difficult sections in some games but other times i'll lose my rag instantly and go off and do something else and it'll be ages before i come back to it.

  • Brainzzz! War Z on steam.

Not quite sure what to make of it either. It's a big seller on steam too.

  • War Z is getting some pretty atrocious reviews and comments about the company making it and their marketing makes it look dodgy. I would avoid until hearing great things about it.

On the other hand, Crusader Kings II is on sale for 75% off on Steam. I have really gotten into this game and highly recommend it. It is inappropriately named though, I've logged almost 70 hours on it and never once bothered with a Crusade. It's a brilliant strategy game but not just based on war.

  • I just thought it was Day Z with a name change. Didn't realise for quite a while it's just a shameless rip-off. At least I'm too poor to have bought it.

  • So the steam winter sale starts tomorrow apparently.

Also the new Hitman is only £20 at the moment from Tesco and Game. Tempted to buy it considering I'm off until the new year.

  • The new Hitman is $19.99 on the US Amazon site for PC download. If you're on a PC and interested in the game, that's probably the cheapest around right now.

The game isn't hard if you approach it right. You cannot hack & slash, you need to be careful with stamina and health.
You don't need to grind but you can farm sections for easy souls to lvl up.
I have a knight class and do ok with a sword and shield. A mate of mine (who is boss at this game) is a pyromancer pwning with magic and bows.
You can level you characters anyway, so your warrior can be a magic wielder, or your thief a battleax swinging hulk
Worth a crack IMO. I am 14 hours in and not very far in.

  • DS is hard. That's why it is so satisfying. It's old skool compared with many modern 'cinema' games. Pyromancer is a good starting character. Its also really immersive and feels proper adventurous. Well worth a few hours
