Fantastic open world combat/stealth sandbox. Looks great. Some strange set pieces (shroom trip). And cliched story but not important considering the fun to be had ...
Got it yesterday, awesome game! The first shroom trip was really weird but pretty cool. Now i'm just having fun hunting lots of stuff with my bow. And still finding that many times I tiger will appear out of nowhere, kill the animals i'm trying to hunt then turn on me. Which I then havve to take out with a bow and knife as there's a patrol right next to me. Fun!
One of the tips I read before getting it was playing it on the hardest difficulty so the emphasis is actually on survival, as opposed to becoming Rambo.
Awesome game though, the first game i've bought in a while at full price! Totally worth it.

Probably good advice. Generally prefer hard games (Bayonetta and dark souls recent faves). However after FC 2 infamous difficulty was too much for me. Will give it a spin though.

Was playing through FC2 on Infamous a few days back, bloody difficult and one of the things that changed was that it took a lot of bullets to kill enemies, which I thought was a bit too much. They could also spot you even if you were hiding in deep grass. More impossible than challanging!

Exactly and the guns breaking all the time
I assume FC3 is more challenging than impossible@Philxthomas Good to see Dark Souls 2 coming out. Gamers got soft when ps2 popularised gaming. Good to see the hard game comeback. Harks back to ghouls and ghosts and contra

Powering through GW2. Being nice to everyone is apparently a 'not very done thing' in this game.
So far everyone's been quite surprised at me just giving away everything I don't need, and recently one guy made me some awesome armour for being nice to others, and someone else made me an awesome sword & bow.
What goes around comes around. That's the lesson here...

Played some Darksiders last night, might do some more later, quite enjoying having my Xbox pad hooked up to the laptop. Saints Row 3 seemed good but is glitchy as fuck and I can't be arsed with it, might pick it up on Xbox at somepoint.

I bought SR3 the other week for next to nothing. Drop kicking random people get's boring.
Reminds me why I didn't like GTA

Finishing Far Cry 3 has left me feeling very underwhelmed.
The open world and environment are awesome, but mask the fact that the characters are utterly objectionable, the story cliched and uninspired, and the gameplay is flawed in all sort of ways. Sadly, after finishing it, the open world that you find yourself left with doesn't have anything very interesting to do in it.

Not sure what to play over the festive period.
Have counterstrike or perhaps more BF3 who knows! Can't think of many games that are exciting me that much at the moment.
Although maybe hitman hmmmm... Is it any good?

So anyone playing Ingress? Got my invite today. Walked around Hackney Wick, Homerton, and Clapton to get groceries and fuck all in terms of portals. There appears to be one on the West side of Viccy Park. May go check it out...

im ingressing in Basildon.
2 portals, both Resistance owned.
i am enlightened.
i attack them regular enough but not taken charge yet. -

Also Enlightened. Which is a shame 'cause most portals are also Enlightened in the East. Although I'll be working at the LSE tomorrow and there are a few around there that I guess I'll have a chance to attack if I can escape for a while over lunch.

Actually, just found a couple unclaimed portals not too far way. Towards Leyton. Not surprised. Don't think they have smart phones out there yet. May ride over.

Got an invite the other day, haven't quite got round to claiming the north yet.

Just got a portal in Leyton. There's another in the Olympic village but it's still closed. Can't get close enough.
