Worth getting BF? The size of the maps appeals immensely after the tiny boxes that are MW3. They're fun but I miss sniping that isn't aim/instant-fire before the scope is even up.

Yes, even more so if your going to play it on PC. I play it on the xbox (Pc would play it easily) mainly for the fact most of my friends play it on the xbox.

played BF:BC2 and didnt really like it, was a MW2 whoreboy at the time.
I have MW3 which i enjoy the odd Kill Confirmed match on.

Is it worth gettign a copy of BF3, if i like MW3 or would it be to subtly different for me to enjoy?

It's much more team based that MW you can't take on a whole team by yourself like you can in MW. Which I enjoy a lot more, when playing as a team on bf It's great, medic, engineers, support and recon telling you where all the enemies are!

I am doing the Anska mission in a dungeon
Got to Vokar, a dragon mage who keeps raping me with a firey rod.

Died 6 times this mornign trying to do it.

When I was at a lower level I found some of these impossible (even though the foes level up with you they do now seem easier). I found that running around and doing damage from distance helped or putting something between me and them (like hiding behind a column then popping out and hitting them).

Played too much MW3 at lunchtime. I'm sat here typing up some work, trying not to be distracted by the Meme thread, I heard a rumbling of a plane landing presumably at City airport and went to take cover, thinking, 'stealth bomber'.

Ended up nailing it with orc arrows with my orcish bow of arcing (/nerd)

kept hidden and going the other way to Anska, plugging away with the bow.
lvl 15 now, slowly but surely

Completed the "House of Horrors" quest the other night, so i now apparently have a spooky house in Marketh and worship a demon god. All i got out of it was a rusty mace of shitness. Great.

In other news I am now lvl40 with full deadric heavy armour and have yet to find anything that can actually take health off me. Getting too easy :-(

What difficulty are you playing on?
Just start a new char and go a TOTALLY different direction, it is like playing a completely different game if you do it right.

Whatever the default is, i never changed it. The game was really hard earlier on, getting awesome armour has made all the difference.

Put it on nightmare or whatever the highest difficulty is. I got to that level of having insane armour and nothing could touch me but putting the difficulty up makes it fun again... Still piss easy though...

Ha I know what you mean. When I played so much MW2 last(?) year to get to prestige eveytime I got to a coner at work (lots of corridors) I'd pause and take a quick look at what was around the other side. I'd also find myself flicking my vision up and down looking for sinpers as I wandered the streets at lunchtime. Very sad.

My legendary Mace of Molag Bal is doing more damage than anything else I've picked up in game. Might be cause my 1-handed is at 100 with all 5 first-level perks.

I'm gonna destroy mine at an arcane enchanter, the double-handed daedric greatsword of doom is working fine for me :-)

Need a comedy name for my dwarven frost mace. I'm erring towards Midgetbane, but Golden rod of Chillynob is a close second

You think that is bad. I have played so much MW3 since it came out (I have prestiged two times) that I had the HUD burned into my vision. Thankfully I started playing Skyrim two weeks ago, now I have the magic - skills - items - map menu overlaying every thing for the first few hours of the day. The Metal Gear collection for 360 is out in a few weeks - it will be great hiding out in cardboard boxes again.

When I see dandelions, I immediately think, "The game's bugged again. It's not glowing."

And Portal, what I nightmare. Went around drawing orange a blue ovals everwhere and walking into walls. Had permanently bruised forehead for weeks. Not to mention Mirrors Edge, men of my age cannot run up the side of buildings...
