You need to learn the "soul trap" spell*. Cast it on an enemy and if you kill then within 60 secs their soul fills an empty soul gem in your inventory innit ;-)

I've got a sword that does the soul-trap thing, found it in a chest/picked it up of a dead person somewhere. Am yet to enchant a weapon though; quite fancy making my bow sets people on fire...

Weapon enchanting is the way to go. Enchant your current weapon to do a soul capture (provided you already have a weapon with this power so you can disenchant it and learn it).

I've done this for my great sword and have more filled soul gems than I can use.

Unbelievable. Fucking thieves guild quest has glitched and i'm having to lose about 4 hours gameplay to try and make it work. so fucking annoying.

Reaching burnout stage on Skyrim, just finished double enchanting my full set of Dragonscale armour and now I'm almost too badass, my fire warhammer smacks the shit out of most enemies with one hit, sometimes two. Only got the Companions missions left to do as well as choose whether to join Imperial or Stormcloaks. Still have enough interest to explore but the end is definitely nigh

I often stand there letting people bash the crap out of me just to let my Light Armour skill go up then Wham! (War)hammertime!

Just went live in the last few days I think.

Not quite as enjoyable as the original Settlers, but free and greatly updated graphics.
Should last an evening I reckon :)

I finally got round to doing the main quest in skyrim, having become a thane all over the place, got lots of houses and done the magicians / comapnions / thieves (and possibly bards too).

Appears that the last puzzle door you have to get through (with the diamond claw) is bugged - looking at walkthroughs on the web it's shortly after going through this door that you finish the questline.

I've tried restarting my machine, reloading from further back in time, exiting the level and going back in. It's not possible to exit the building and fast travel anywhere as there's a dragon flying around too high to see and who won't land - maybe that's another defect.

I'd seen quite a few bugs and glitches on the way through the game, but this is a bit of a howler...

are there any GT5 racers here or is this now just skyrim ?

looking for some racing groups / challenges ?

So I am a little late to the Skyrim party. My excuse is my playstation broke and money and various other things got in the way until now.
After playing for a few hours last night I'm now a level 6 High Elf, got the warrior stone and learnt my first dragon word after Bleak Falls Barrow. Decided I'm going to go down the warrior-mage route so building up smithing and one-handed as well as magicy stuff, also trying sneaky archery but don't know if I'm trying to be too much of a jack-of-all-trades? Anything I should be thinking about?

Played some BF3 last night. Quite enjoying it again, love the pdw (can't remember what It's called) great gun to use as support/ engineer.

Also played bf3 again last night for the first time in a week or so. Wow, the usas/frag rounds spam is getting pretty out of hand on the smaller maps.

What I like about the game is there's not too much point in trying to be any particular class, play how you want to play and you quickly realise what it is most pertinent to concentrate on re perks and skill levelling

Hate the launcher & RPG things in operation metro, so irritating.

Had a good few games the other day, either I'm getting better or other people are getting worse, consistently in the top 4 for five or six conquest games.

Might start playing Rush when I've got my 50 Conquest wins.

I was under the impresison that metro was purely used for stat padding nowadays.
M249 + IRV + flash supressor = K/D > 1.0

I played some Conquest last night again. Metro is always a lot of fun, even more so if both teams are equal and fighting for point B.

Tried out the frag rounds, on hardcore they are a pain the ass.

Worth getting BF? The size of the maps appeals immensely after the tiny boxes that are MW3. They're fun but I miss sniping that isn't aim/instant-fire before the scope is even up.

played BF:BC2 and didnt really like it, was a MW2 whoreboy at the time.
I have MW3 which i enjoy the odd Kill Confirmed match on.

Is it worth gettign a copy of BF3, if i like MW3 or would it be to subtly different for me to enjoy?

BF3 is awesome. Much less arcade-y than MW3 with better maps and modes. Also, if you're on PC, the maps are humongous (console maps are smaller) and the player levels are 32 a team (console is 12).

Makes me wish I had a PC that could play anything more recent that RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (which I love BTW)...

Would recommend BF3 to anyone, does take a bit of getting used to after the frantic nature of COD etc.

On another retro note, anyone up for a few games of Swos on xbox live? Started playing it again and I'm still in love as much as I was back on the amiga.
