The Chinese market is the biggest in the world, it's just barely anything makes it out to the rest of the world. Pubg and LoL are the only ones that come to mind. There's an upcoming game called Black Myth: Wukong which is the first real attempt to get a AAA game in the worldwide market by a Chinese developer.

Nice one!
I takes this to be from a consumer (hardly surprising) and business ownership standpoint but keen to see something similar for games actually developed there. -

Microsoft have just announced Minecraft VR as a free update for PS4 (presumably PS5 if PSVR works???).
This is great but where is VR for Xbox?

Is VR still a thing?

Honest question by the way but I guessed it wasn't as big as people had hoped.

I think it's still to have its big moment. The new Oculus Quest 2 is a really interesting offering and a super convincing pricepoint. Things like Half Life Alyx also showed its potential as a storytelling medium.
It's definitely got a lot of room to grow but a platform like Xbox supporting it would help that no end.

probably because no one really wants to be caught dead flapping their arms around like a beached whale with a cereal box strapped to they face.

Just fixed that.

Would love to get a VR setup for racing sims (when you're simulating being sat in a chair holding a steering wheel while sitting in a chair holding a steering wheel, a lot of the issues with VR fall away), but still yet to be simple/cheap enough for a decent setup for my liking.

I'd love one of the flight sim ones too.
The only times I've been really impressed with it are flying games.

It's a shame Gran Turismo doesn't support multi player racing on PSVR. It would be the cheapest and easiest solution by far.

This in VR looks pant-messingly fantastic:

if you've got £180, you can buy my Xbox One X if you're interested. Fully boxed with all original stuff of course.
Tbh I still have no clue. A second controller will add about £50 on top, right? I have no idea about the difference between them!

Interesting and the guys got a point. If Bethesda games are now timed exclusives on the Xbox that's huge.

There's a large difference in quality between the X & S in terms of graphics power etc. You'll probably not notice it if you don't have a 4k TV but if you're buying into the old generation, you probably want to buy something that will last.
I've probably got another controller I can throw in for £20.
No worries if not - it's the same price as Game etc are accepting for trade in right now so I'll do that instead if you're not interested...

Managed to pre-order an X with All Access subscription from Game (finally).
In the wait, I managed to get a pre-order at Argos and Amazon. If anyone wants one, at rrp, let me know by EOP otherwise I'll cancel them.

I'm eventually going to get an X, but can't decide if I want it on launch as I'm hugely indecisive and also worry about issues on launch. But by holding off till possibly after Christmas/New Year am I setting myself in for a long wait as demand is going to be too big and stock wont be back for a while?

It's unknown at the moment if and when they'll restock. The preorder is live today, looks like buying from Microsoft is the only way to still get one. This first wave will sell out and there may be a second wave before xmas, it depends how quick they can manufacture them. Personally I'm waiting until a sale/bundle deal.
Also interestingly it looks like the X is selling out way quicker than the S, but it could be due to stock levels.

Also - anyone want to swap PS5 pre-orders?
I managed to snag a PS5 Digital Edition for launch day (from eBuyer) but would prefer a disc edition...
With cash to match, natch.

Yeah I've got it sat in a basket with Microsoft right now though looks to be sold out now so imagine that's going to time out quite soon. Just looking through the Game Pass games at the moment and I'm getting closer to buying as plenty for me to catch up on from last generation on there. Though I'm still tempted to try and wait it out for some kind of sale/bundle like you say. Had an eye on that site through the morning and am surprised by the X selling out much more. Though as you say there could be a lot more S models out there.

Both X box appear to be on Argos... now how should I spend my staff discount...
Just thinking that Blizzard do Overwatch Hearthstone and Starcraft eSports and Valve have DOTA
Interesting comment about Tencent...
My father in law made a comment whilst I was playing Ghost of Tsushima, believing it would look more interesting if it were Chinese martial arts instead of boring Japanese sword play. This is clearly his being Chinese and not liking Japan more than anything else.
I couldn't recall if id ever seen a Chinese game go international let alone playing one. He said they were the biggest producers of Vidya games in the world and then pulled up Tencent. I really don't think buying majority stakes of American companies counts personally as I was more interested in the cultural exchange of ideas but I was actually quite unaware of them before then.
