I used to work for Free Radical, the makers of the Timesplitters games. I joined when they went shit and made Haze, though.
The guy who wrote the music was my boss, and still a good friend of mine.

Diablo III season 7 has just ended, one week until Season 8.
Tidied thing up with my characters, and now thinking of heading into C&C for a week or so of R&R...

Can anyone recommend me a good sub-£500 gaming machine?

Is usually a good starting point.
(With the caveat that I have no idea either as the last machine I built had Vista installed) -

I'd recommend building your own. It's difficult to get something with a decent spec in some areas but not everything (which you'll probably need for under £500).

Timesplitters- absolutely superb.
Completed MGS Ground Zeroes, didn't really like it and am now wondering how much I will enjoy Phantom Pain when I get round to buying it.
I have also just completed GTA Episodes from Liberty City and really enjoyed both games, TBOGT in particular. It's good that they let you replay the missions once you finish the game, and I wish that they'd done that for TLATD as well.

If you didn't like the gameplay from Ground Zeroes, you won't enjoy Phantom Pain. The gameplay was by far the strongest aspect of it (the story was incredibly lazy and a complete mess).
I think TBOGT is almost up there with Vice City and far above the rest of the GTA games for me. I think after GTA IV they realised that serious storylines were not their strong suit.

Used to build systems all the time but the last games I played regularily were SOF2 and Quake III..

That's pretty cool! Shame you didn't work on timesplitters.
I just hope timeaplitters rewind gets relegated at some point if it ever gets completed -

Rockstar have 'teased' what is assumed to be new Red Dead Redemption
(They tweeted a rockstar logo on a red background. The interwebs has done the rest)

I felt exactly the same, the games kinda easy to get ahead of yourself.

Exciting stuff. Long overdue.

Looks like it is about Metroid:

The Nintendo tweet came three hours after Rockstar made the change.
Still hoping they're working on a new RDR, however.

Although that Nintendo account may be fake? I don't know what to believe.
-
• #15843
Apparently that's fake and it is actually RDR

I built one for around 350 I think... couple of second hand parts, but still.
i3 4330 and a GTX950.
You could build something better for £500. -

October 25th is a big day in Assetto Corsa land...
Anyone familiar with the history of Porsche and video games should appreciate why. This is the first of three DLC packs to be released before the end of the year.
Porsche Vol. 1 DLC Car List:
911 Carrera S,
935 Moby Dick
918 Spyder
Cayman GT4 Clubsport
718 Cayman S
917/30
911 Carrera RSR 3.0 1974 -

The main cost is going to be the video card, probably something like a GTX 1060 in that price bracket. You can skimp on the CPU and get decent performance from a modern i3. 8GB of RAM should be sufficient for most games

Things I know about Star Citizen is that it's a hugely ambitious concept that some people feel will never be realised, regardless of the incredible looking videos. Also that Chris Roberts might be an even worse human being than Sean Murray.
Having played and got bored with Elite Dangerous (and having to erase from memory the £40 and 20 hours I wasted on NMS) I'm not really paying much attention.
Veeeery long post about the various issues here...

Anyone tried MAFIA III?
