Alien Isolation is so much better than I expected, on pair with the original film too.

Not long after the Alien showed up I found the gameplay was so annoying I couldn't be bothered anymore. Unfortunate because until then it had been awesome.

I haven't advanced further than sneaking around trying not to kill people after my "mate" got taken by an alien.

Just wait until you get to the Medical Bay...

Level 10 so far after about a day of trying to figure out how to build settlements and doing a couple of Minutemen quests. It's not exactly given to you on a plate is it. Haven't played Fallout games in ages and forgot how perks worked. Only just figured that you can upgrade perks on levels below the top 'special' rank without completely filling up the top rank. On the plus side im ridiculously strong in melee...

Perks is different in this one, most people I've spoken to, me included, didn't realise about going down rows for a bit.

When you get a couple of settlements set up supply chains (you may need local leader perks) shares stored junk across the linked settlements. Super handy.

Yeah, spec ops is surprisingly good considering the subject matter. Not a call of duty rip off. I played wolfenstein the new era. It was a pretty good straight forward fps. A prequel cane out after, so maybe you could play that as well/first.

It is definitely playable at this point. There are some things with shaders which require fixing and the occasional bug here and there, but it certainly beats the vanilla engine. If you want to get some playtime in, check out their Downloads page and visit their Wiki to read up on how to get started. I must add that I have no connections to OpenMW as a project, and I haven't played much of it myself as I recently switched to Linux and am facing some issues before I can start to play with OpenMW myself.

Ohhhh I didn't! I was going to but got distracted... this weather aint getting no better though and now I have a Steam Machine/W Box for the living room it might be a prudent investment.

On sale on steam at the mo - or was when I bought it a day or two ago. It's good but would benefit from a beefy system. My three or so year old gaming laptop struggles albeit at medium. Low is probably fine.

Bollocks. It isn't anymore... My iMac's card is decent enough, runs Most things maxed out. My W Box is a bit crazy, I guess it's coming form Macs where the graphics cards always suck pretty hard no matter how much you spend (the 775M and 780M are the only ones I'd consider decent - the latest AMD in the riMac's are barely more powerful and pushing 2x the pixels) but I installed a good range of games last night (Borderlands, Metro Redux, Bioshock Ultimate) and Nvidia game optimiser thing is telling me to put near everything on Ultra for all games. Didn't expect such good performance from such a cheap build. Such a broken record. Sorry.

edit: Except for DayZ, which it tells me to run at 720 on low. Jog on. CFG tweaks and I'm flying on Very High @1080.
