watching a playthrough of wolfenstein prequel. very pedestrian. run. shoot. take 15 bullets to the face. pick up heatlh pack. rinse. repeat. and i HATE nazis. those guys are such dicks.

polygon made it sound like the new 'old order' bit lacked the charm of the 'new order', which I keep almost deciding to pick up and then not. 'new order' is supposed to be rubbish and formulaic and standard and then out of nowhere actually very good.

Wolfenstein New Order was ok. Rather formulaic, occasionally appalling AI. Not particularly interested in investing the cash or time on the expansion tho*.

*This usually lasts until I read a couple of faintly positive comments and then cave in. Most recent example being Dirt: Rally on early access despite swearing to never buy another codemasters racing game after F1 2010.

I've been playing killing floor 2 on pc a lot. It's good.

I've been playing Wolfenstein Old Blood. It's a stripped down almost-DLC for New Order. I think it's good for the price ($20) and am enjoying it. You can also find dual packs with New Order for around $50 (no idea in the UK)

Project CARS worth grabbing on the PS4?

Anyone else see that Lidl had some Nintendo game and watch keychains last week? Grabbed Donkey Kong Jr, Cement Factory and Marios Bros. £4 each, not bad.

Yea sorry I forgot to say a couple days ago. It was on the 8th I saw a huge stack and grabbed them. Only just today thought to tell you guys. Maybe you get lucky if you go check tomorrow, never know. I'll probably sell on at least one of them (packaging has already gone in the bin). I only really like Mario Bros.

Sweet Christmas. Just found out elite :dangerous is coming to xboxone and I'm stupidly excited. Showed both the missus and my kids the gameplay footage on the pc. There response was disappointing so I made them watch the classic elite footage on YouTube. "See.....see. It used to be awesome I played this for hours on my computer as a kid."

Still unimpressed so I've decided to nerf barrage the sods in the morning to get them all up for school/work.

Since the laptop thread is pretty dead, does anyone have any recommendation of a decent laptop that can handle most modern games? currently I have GeForce GT 120 256MB which is tiny nowadays.

So far, this HP Envy look decent.

(oh yes, gonna get a desktop computer once Fallout 4 is out).
