I think being in a group would help

I skipped BF4 but will probably buy hard line.
Thinking of buying an xbox one though.

^^ What a pathetically angry cunt.
Battlefield 3 was released going on for three years ago and since then I've managed almost 300 hours (quite modest by some standards, I bet angry man on the video has considerably more) between it and 4. Total cost including premium probably something like £120, which is an awful long way from the $400 he claims. At £3-4/month it's a hell of a lot better value than any(?) subscription based game.
He's far to angry, and his figures may be wrong, but his underlying point still stands I believe. I logged up way more time playing BF2 mods (PoE, PR & FH2) than I ever did playing the game itself. I think modding keeps a game alive, it gives the developers fresh ideas and things they wouldn't have thought of themselves to incorporate into sequels. Locking them out stunts growth.

Who ever said hardline would be a DLC?
-
• #11706
No one, I assumed it was, it doesn't look enough to be a stand alone
-
• #11707
Oh I thought it does.
Also looks like it'll be a good game. Dice have said they are building off the base of BF4 to assure that no game breaking things will be present at release.

It's a "different game" and isn't made by dice... It's a Visceral game...
EA have kinda said they want to cash in much like CoD have and so have 2 studios planning to work back to back and churn out games yearly if not more. I can't see any good side of that for gamers.

Different game my arse, same maps, same engine, just some new skins. Lets face, it, its a knock off of payday.
-
• #11710
All this moaning and I'll still shell out instantly for battlefront though probably... like a dirty whore.

ergh. They've actually said that?
Fuck me EA get worse by the day.
Please tell me the crew isn't made by them - that looks fun.

People play Hearthstone? I have been trying to figure out how to use the Pirate cards, but it seems they are pretty crappy no matter what hero you play them with.

• #11713
i do like a good CCG - HS looks like fun but is just another pay-to-play money pit. And Blizzard are cunts. Just a shame they make such good god damned games.

• #11714
Where and when did they say that clockwise? I recommend yall see the E3 conference of EA Games to get some insight on what they're doing atm. BF Hardline looks pretty sick to me!

• #11715
I pretty much agree greenhell, but I cant say that I find D3 a good game.
-
• #11716
I've just dipped my toe in it and i must say, i like it. It's D2 with prettier graphz - not that i was expecting much more. I also like the fact that they've done away with the tree upgrade system - doing away with making a player pay later on in a game for a poor decision made when you didn't know any better is a step in the right direction i reckon many RPG's should take.
Still, Mindless button mashing at its finest. And some very satisfying 'squelch' sounds when you brain a demon with a lump on wood with some nails in it.

Dice are working on finishing bf4 and starting bf5. Visceral are working on hardline which if it isn't a total flop will follow with ballsplatter or some other mean sounding game.
Hardline is rather lame now. Once you figure out the easiest ways to do the objectives you are unstoppable. In the hiest mode just zipline onto the roof(as going up in lifts is dumb) or motorbike like a mad man down the road. On release they will have added crazy apc type things with all the mad weapon unlocks and helis with loads of unlocks... oh and another "metro" for those who like a deadlock nade spam fest.

^^ I just don't feel it. Which is a shame because I am an honest Diablo I & II fan and gave the game many chances. Too bad it turned out not to be my cup of tea.

A few months back when "bf5:swat" was leaked from visceral and they had to explain why/how dice wasn't working on it. Was a very quick snippet in some interviews that I'm sure ea are doing what they can to make disappear.
I also still remember the "micropurchases in every game" talk ea gave which isn't entirely true yet but then expecting to charge £40+ for a game then £20+ premium or £10 an expansion(x3-5) with micro purchases ontop takes the piss.
I can't see myself buying hardline, didn't get bf4 until it was on special offer in japan and mexico so my premium "full" edition was only £30.

I still haven't got BF4 and probably wont. Unless I can get it cheap when I buy an xbox one.

Simple marketing for good games. And it works. I get the point though and I dont like how some companies rob us of our money, but I cant go talk shit about EA now I just got hired there...

Reminds me of the 90s when you'd have to buy magazines to get the patch off the cover disc.
