Hah, so you did managed to keep the bar tape, I remember you saying something like "why waste a perfectly good bartape" when you recieved that handlebar with the tape and lever on it.
I still have those bars on it. I bought new bars for it and I'm too lazy to fit them.
It now has matching grey ATACs and a different, lower position oh and more scratches. -

'freak'I wanted to document one of the only times you'll see my bike with a clean chain.
It's a Chubb chain.. no wait.. I mean Nexus. Bike Whisperer suggested them as a cheap alternative to track chains. 1/8th, cheap, galvanized or something to make it weather-resistant. It works a treat and I'd recommend them to others (if you can use a chain tool properly - no numpties should try anything I recommend lest they fuck up the install and blame the product). -

@Hippy
What are they like for noise? My (cheap and cheerful) Charge Masher is noisy as fuck and I'm looking for a replacement.Mine is quite quiet when it has been lubed. It's quite noisy when it hasn't.
I don't mind the noise.. I use it as a warning to nodders that something fast is approaching and not to make sudden moves. -

what about forks? are they always are carbon or some years they are steel?
-
• #41
well, carbon's the best one for weight and stiffness, as far as I remember (2006), they always have carbon, only the Potenza are steel (unless requested).

And this is the 2009 aka Mars Bar bike.

I don't even know why they call the 2009 a "Pista". The geo is very relaxed, so much so it is my favorite bike to ride around on a daily basis as its so comfortable.
The Alu 2005 Pista EOM is much nippier. The rear triangle is pretty tight and acceleration seems faster. Its not very comfy though[t].
