i thought chicks dig scars...... what is the world coming to.
+1
They just show you've been places and done stuff - they're cool. I've tried bio oil but it doesn't seem to have done jack - perhaps I'm not committed enough to the 2x a day routine. Embrace the scars but deal with the eczema (sorry no tips from me on this). -

As for the eczma, it depends. Some things work one some people and don't work on other.
I've done few jobs for pharmaceutical companies and have some samples. Let you know the names (I've spoken to the doctors during the congresses and they pointed few samples, but I don't remember the names of top of my head). Steroid creams work, but they make your skin thinner and brittle. -

Do they make you ride faster?

Got 60ml of bio-oil. This stuff works, it's only been a week but my scars are already lighter, i'm sure of it. Works well on fresher wounds, too, as I found when I cut my leg on my pedal the other day :)

Just discovered this thread,.. else I wouldn't have hijacked the show us your scars page.
http://www.lfgss.com/post3986924-52.htmlSo its been almost 4 months since my face was planted into a kerb and thought id update on with testing creams/oils.
I've been using bio-oil as much as possible and although the scar has noticeably improved its still pretty horrific. I was hoping it would starting to look mean by now but stubbornly remains bright red.
The most important thing to do is massage the scar frequently but without breaking the skin. Bio-oil is of course good for this but really any moisturizer would do.
While this sometimes feels counterproductive because it makes it look even more red but if the scar is raised and atrophic its the only way to break down the collagen beneath it. The longer you leave it the harder it becomes to remove.
I've suffered badly with eczema, got it totally under control in the end by stopping using steroid cream (I'm convinced this makes it worse in the long run) and just moisturising with an emollient like diprobase works - like Booby Dids said.
You shouldn't need to worry too much about allegic reactions to scar reduction stuff if you have eczema (as opposed to contact dermatitis). Are you sure it is eczema, have you had patch tests?
