Tango, I weigh a lean/toned/muscular/tanned 80ish kilos... I use 32's and they are fine.
Good job I'm in Bristol then, as there wouldn't be enough room for the two of us in London. With the 36's I wouldn't have to get the nipple
clampswrench out as much, but it does seem overkill...Also, sorry for the repost.

So my conclusion on this was either was fine, it depends on what hubs/rims you want. The rims I wanted only came in 36h, so 36h I was what I got.
If you have the choice though, you are talking about a tiny tiny increase in weight for a little bit of added strength, so why not. I'd also happily go with slightly lighter rims/hubs with 36h because of that slightly increased strength. Swing and roundabouts, innit.

number of spokes is not important, wheelbuild are.

The fact that the rear wheel is undished, and therefore has even spoke tension, more than compensates for 4 spokes.
well made undished 32 spoke wheel =

Tbh it doesn't matter which as long as its been built properly, I use 30 year old 28h and have no problems with them at all.

I am an expert wheelbuilder. People marvel at the strength of my 4 spoke wheels (radial obviously)
