what are you using them for, how much do you weigh, what rims are you using?
-
• #3
You have a much better selection of rims available in 32 hole drillings.

Will be building a fixed hub - 700mm wheel.
Don't know what rim - a cheap one. Any recommendations?
The bike will be just a general beater to get around on.

You going to start a thread over every comonent of your bike? This must be the 5/6th now, no?

Just a postcode... That's all I need...

to be quite honest there's not much in it at all - especially if the wheelbuilder knows what they're doing

144h is just about strong enough for london. Failing that:
Stop starting pointless threads.
+1 for Geralds idea for mimimum £1 for thread starting. -

I'd like to drill 32 holes in his rim!
Wait, I mean I'd like 32 rims in my hole.
No, that's not right. Can I select 32 drillings for my rim?
Yeah that's it. There's your answer. Boom.

The difference between the two is negligible. You could argue 36h for strength or 32h for lightness, but that's only really academic. Instead the quality of the build is probably more important. UseTheFuckingSearchâ„¢ for more information :)

Who cares how many spokes you have? I'm 15st and I have 32h. Never had a problem and I ride quite hard. (oof!)

@cycloshat
I wouldn't give you another 32h(ours) on this forum.
OK, which would you recommend?
32h - lighter, less strong - more maintenance
36h - heavier, stronger - less maintenance
