  • for my taste i choice the fuji in secon place and in first place the bianchi super pista........uffff .....really nice bike for the 2010

  • Lol . . you do take this whole bike porn/antiporn blah blah blah rather too seriously old boy, i was only winding you up - the production version has the Sturmey hub brake

Yeah but we need him here, to balance out all the funny, clever and interesting posters we have.

  • Looking thro thread...

Looks like the manufacturers are trying to cash in on the movement.

Some ok colorways on retro builds. Nothing special.

    Nobody's touching Benny ;o)

  • What 'movement' would that be, 'cycling'?

  • Has anyone had the chance to ride one of these? Am interested in the ride qualities versus the more expensive modern steel frames on the market.

    tarck steelz

  • 2010 Giant Omnium £850, looks much nicer than the 2009. Hydroforming, seat tube cut out, aero seat post, dropout adjuster screws, carbon steerer, 43% price rise!

  • whats Hydroforming ?

  • Put a tube in a mould of the shape you want it to distort it into then force a hydraulic fluid inside the tube making it expand into the mould.

    Ludicrously pedantic fix

  • Not sure if this is new?!

  • It is Zed. The Scattofisso. A TIG welded steel track frame.

  • I don't like that derosa at all :( Blue dropouts?

  • I'm sure Doriano De Rosa will be very saddened to hear that. :p

    I think it's gorgeous, more pics here;

  • That Scattofisso is the best of the bunch. Blatantly.

  • Italian frame, Italian groupset, Italian wheels, Italian bars and stem, Italian saddle, FRENCH pedals? Surely they could have put ProFits on there for the product shot, even if nobody actually uses them.

    Its fucking lush. Want.

edit: Scatto Fisso = Fixed Gear.

So its basically a De Rosa fixie.

  • i just thought it was an italian niche film....

  • niche....hmmmm

  • £1800 for the frame and forks. Fuck that.

    http://www.i-ride.co.uk/product/brands/derosa/frames/index.html

  • And the rear bridge is drilled. I think its De Rosa's attempt to lure in the Italian fixie skidders.

That and the price means undibs.

  • It's custom made, so I'm sure you can specify an undrilled bridge.

  • Or.....

  • £1800 for the frame and forks

So £1720 for just the frame, as I spy yet another outing for the ever popular 4ZA Ellyps fork.

  • Zed - is that the same frame that we saw at the World Cup?
