BAD v Sparkle Motion, Nov 4th, Newington SE1.

The first game got off to a very quick start with Aidan scoring from the charge in under 10”, followed by another goal at 40” and Brendan scoring a 3rd in under two minutes. A lot of activity in the Sparkle goal ensured a 4th goal to BAD – an own goal by Sparkle from a Dave assist! Aidan finished off the game at 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

The second game saw Sparkle playing well defensively. Aside from Brendan’s goal in the 1st minute, they held off BAD’s relentless attack with some good saves, until two goals from Dave in the 5th minute. Aidan set up a lovely ball for Dave who powered through an awesome goal at 5.5 minutes, and then Dave scoring again at 6'22".

Brendan got the first two goals at 1’32” and 2’10” in the third game. Similarly to the second, Sparkle Motion were saving many of BAD’s shots. At 2’50” Dave, after hitting the cones & wheels a few times finally put the ball through at a great angle. Aidan scoring at 3'15” and Brendan at 4’40” ensured BAD another 15-0 victory. Sparkle Motion had a couple of good breaks by James in this game and were unlucky not to convert them.

thinking about joining in with the No Shave November™ myself.

BRBPC v. Sparkle Motion:
A slow wet court made for slow, cautious games. No bad crashes during this fixture!

Game 1: 3-1
Back and forth action, most of it in SM's half, Dan scores within the first 5 minutes at 10.20
2 minutes later SM strikes back with Pip sinking one at 7.30
BRBPC takes the lead again at 6.20 thanks to Matt
Dan makes it final at 40 seconds.

Game 2: 5-0
After a bit of rule confirmations the game is under way and 2 minutes in Dan opens up the beatings.
10.55, 9.50, 5.55 - Matt
Dan makes it a shutout at 5.10

Game 3: 2-1 (3-1?)
BRBPC get cocky and chatty making the game really boring for the first 10 minutes.
Dan finally sinks one at 5.25
Matt follows up at 1.15
James sinks a final one at 0.05

At the countdown Roxy hits one that goes in with no challenge. Goal ref didn't call it and I didn't see it as I was still writting James's time... Count it at 0.00?

*I should add that Dan and Matt were even in goals for the fixture.

ha! yeah, it might have been cocky, i was just having a chuckle and enjoying a light game. james' play really flicks a switch in terms of game speed and before you know it he's 5 yards out and accurate! haha!

Roxy's final goal - I didn't see whether Pip tapped back in and I have no idea what the time count was. It was definitely a goal if Pip and Wayne had tapped in and there was 1 second left on the clock though, I saw that much.

up the other end still celebrating putting the small round thing between the cones - i'd thrown my mallet away and assumed the game was done.

good games tho - it was quite telling that Pip and James had not played for a month. Would have been good if we were a little bit more match sharp and given you guys a better game.
