I just got an email from the Students Union saying that using the courts shouldn't be a problem. I am now liaising with one of the booking staff to talk logistics.

Sam , outside baker st. Bikes on tues or thurs..(can't remember which) they throw away loads of tyres that are only slightly worn .... Both dice & myself have found gatorskins with only a slight amount of wear .... It's defiantly worth checking out ....failing that I'm sure one of us will have something lying about . Birmingham have started talking about doing a tourney in June so we need to get our announced and in the diary ASAP.

The uni courts are available both of the first weekends in June although the first weekend will clash with a Fatboy Slim concert at Amex stadium. Dunno if people see that as a massive issue, but it would affect getting back into town on the Saturday night (although not by bike).

The cost is £132 a day which includes public liability insurance. We can even use the indoor changing rooms and showers.

Public liability insurance could have proved to be a massive problem otherwise. I'm sold on the uni for surface, cost and availability. I'm not sold on it for access, shops and getting pissed.

Sorry I could come yesterday btw, mad work day in London followed by house viewing. I'll be there for PP on Sunday, barring too much funnnnnn at Danny & Lucy's bash :)
