Enough with the teasing already! Spill.
The uni has provisonally said we can use their brand spanking new floodlit courts on Wednesdays. The surface is just like the Hackney downs courts and we don't have to pay.
Only downside is the courts may be too big, but we can probably sort something out.
In order to play, we are meant to become members of the sports federation, for uni of Brighton students it's only a tenner and also includes free insurance for when we're playing. It's slightly more for non-students, but I'm not quite sure about the ins and outs of that yet.

I tried ringing Jay from Shoreham several times yesterday and today and couldn't get through to him. I've left a voicemail and i've text him about Thursdays booking. Has anybody else tried to contact him?
Shit Tim, that sounds great! Bigger the better ;) I don't suppose you have any pictures or links to a picture of the court, google maps or something? When do you think it would be possible to play there? Also what's the latest on our blb order and whats the deal with spokes? x

Edit: Ideally we would use half of this width. For now we may have to make do, but it would be worth sorting something properly because it would be a great spot for our summer tournament.

I'm waiting to hear back from Robin, i've double checked the spoke lenghts and sorted all that. Everyone says that 3x is the right choice and Im sacking of the radial front idea because it would require spoke lengths that they don't have.
I'm not around tomorrow to play. Almost a whole week without polo!

Tim, that's awesome. If we can board half of that it would be great. Happy to become a member.
Are you guys working out your new Mister X builds?
-
• #2634
So i think it would be a good idea to start a bit earlier today...
This is a bit embarrassing but i haven't had time to build my new mallets. Can i borrow a half decent one off of anybody. (I'm looking at Quigley or Pickering). I've got materials so if i break or bend i can replace. Ta much x

No joy Tim. I was wondering if you gave me the right number?

• #2638
I forwarded the text straight from Quigley.
I've found another number on the web:

Are we playing tomorrow or Thursday? Sorry I didnt make it on Sunday. What a great day for polo. Had the rents down unfortunately..

We have our first polo session at the floodlight Brighton uni courts next Wednesday.
If Chris can't get the Southwick booking, it can be the backup polo party.
They are worried about what we will do to their shiny new courts so we need to use Sunday as a bike-babyproofing session. If we do any damage, we can't use it anymore.

Thats MASSIVE Tim, great work. Fingers crossed for Southwick this week too..

This is great news, I will be working in London that day though so I'll need to know where these courts are (is it on the campus opposite the new stadium) and what time we start so I can plan when to finish and what trains etc.
Nice one Tim

Oh shit. Gutted about Shoreham. Fingers crossed Chris. I will probably be more sad than Jamie if he doesn't get his polo party. I'm NOT paying for Moulsecombe again. Next Wednesday sounds awesome :) Well done JP x
