^Ha!
Just got reply from the PP park ranger who spoke to us at the tourney etc:
"Hi Chris,
I have spoken to sports bookings and the manager responsible for Preston Park. Unfortunately there are no suitable surfaces for Bike Polo which can be booked out. However, what you can do is put up some laminated posters on the fences around the courts in Preston Park saying when you meet and inviting others to come along. This would inform people that you will want to use the space and promote your sport. I would need to get the posters approved so probably the easiest thing would be to email me the posters and I can get approval then laminate them and put them up for you.
Also in future if you want to hold a tournament in Preston Park you will need to go through our Events Office. This way you can book as much space as you need and get other things such as vehical acces etc. but you will need to comply with council H&S policy including public liability insurance.
If you have any further queries please get in touch

Park Ranger"Thoughts? Poster design anyone?

Good stuff Nocar, is that spurred by you seeing us rolling home under the viaduct last week?
We don't always play in the driving rain but it has been known ;)
Acapolo, listen up. I paid for our London Open entry, NS points and pride are on the line here...

Seeing as last Sunday and the latter end of Wednesday were rained off, I'm happy to start as early as possible. Might as well make the most of the weather.

We have limited floorspace/bedspace available to interested parties but we need people to be registered by the 27th to be considered for it.

ooooh Edinburgh is so tempting. I haven't been home for a good long while and in fact, I've never ridden a bike in Edinburgh :/
Tim, that part you linked to. How are you planning on mounting it? Bolted directly into the lever housing? It looks like it would work though, good find. I'm interested in getting one but I rendered myself broke-ass on Saturday!

Again not polo related, but this is the vibe we all should be looking for.....viva small start ups!!

Nice article here http://alarmpress.com/36376/blog/music-news/guest-spot-sean-ingram-of-coalesce-explains-why-bike-polo-punk/
Ju, I know, I know I should pull me finger out and get to Edinburgh but it's a slightly larger undertaking than I can manage at short notice I'm afraid - most likely can't take the holiday from work now. My mum would be seriously miffed if I went to Scotland without seeing her too, adding more time into the equation.

Is it wazzing it down in Brighton, is that why there is no polo talk today? I am in London and need to know if I should make the effort to get down in time otherwise I have lots of work I should be doing :)

It's blustery, changeable and overcast with breaks of sun. I am game, but I don't finish until 6 and anything could happen to the weather before then.

We've played in worse, but as you say Dice, who knows what it's going to be like in a couple of hours. I've got to collect neighbours kids from school and babysit until she gets home so no early start for me today. It'll be worth coming down just to watch me fall over countless times in my new SPDs. Hoping to be at PP by 5ish if the weather holds. Anyone else?
ooooh, some of those team names are a bit close to the bone mate....
