One of Philadelphia's oldest colleges had to change its name when the internet became mainstream.
Web searches for it were either blocked or results surrounded by porn sites.
So after 150 years Beaver College is now known as Arcadia University.

The amount of shit threads that have appeared on the forum in the last few days and have been allowed to stand makes me even more disappointed that the original GGOB thread was closed.
Some members seem obsessed with pushing their political agenda onto others and will use any thread as an excuse to do so. The Alexandra McQueen one being a prime example. There seem to be threads appearing daily about war, facism or some other fucking shit that I have no desire to know about and quite frankly, have no place on a cycling forum. If I wanted to read that crap I would join a war forum. So if I am able to put these threads, that I find offensive on ignore, why are others not able to put the GGOB thread on ignore, if they find it so offensive? -

I wouldn't go as far as that, Ollie... Haven't got on the court much... :[
and when he is on the court he is never in play as walking the bike counts as a footdown

• #908
why not have a "twat free glossy pictures of girls on bikes" thread
no twat pics allowed, no twats allowed and people can then get all up in arms about the ambiguous use of the word twat

Well, I don't think many people will have thought of this as a bike forum for a while ...
Two words: MOSQUE THREAD. :)

Yeah Mike that Lambo thread was well fucked up!!! ;)
I agree thought, there's been bare sheeyat on here the last few days, and unfortunately I cannot let it lie...
I really don't want to start ignoring people or threads (Platini excepted), but it's been getting my goat a bit.

I'd like to complain about this thread and puerile sexist shite. Frankly, there isn't enough of it.
Just this evening, I watched The Haunted World of Superbeasto, and it was chock-full of puerile sexist shite and was absolutely brilliant.

In all seriousness, I agree. I don't even both putting stuff on ignore, I just don't open it if I don't like it.

Nothing has changed; this is how the forum is. The M&M thread is for stuff that is not about cycling; doesn't matter if it's war, doll collecting or football. Anyone can ignore any thread just by not reading it; as I have done with the football thread and the Glossy thread for different reasons. Anyone can also contribute to a thread to ask if it ever really needed to be started. Nothing has changed; the forum is always like this. All that happens is that someone finds one week bad and another week great and someone else disagrees with them. What also doesn't change is that Velocio is the only person who can close a thread or ban a member.

At least Mike hit the Lambo with a bicycle and not a Sherman tank

Was this really necessary? Really, was it. Hmm.

Hi Will...
These are four of mine from the Anne of Green Gables series. They stand 7 inches and are in their original box. I secured these at the 1997 Doll and Teddy convention in San Diego. They are quite rare and valuable, though I'd never consider selling them.
I wouldn't go as far as that, Ollie... Haven't got on the court much... :[
