Gold anodised pickguard is a bad fit and must go
I've had a few Japan Jaguars and one thing I've noticed is that the pickguards are different shapes for Japan Jaguars vs USA Jags vs Mex Jags - its possible the same applies to Jazzmasters and the guy here used the wrong type. They're brilliant guitars tho, the Japan ones are super underrated.

Needed a reverb pedal and my memory man has died (again) so grabbed an offer on the NU-X Atlantic reverb & delay from Dawsons as a Xmas pressy from The Parents. Either it never got collected or Hermes have lost it, but very suspect that they have removed it from the site since I ordered it. Either way, typical Internet site has typical 0 customer service and another PayPal dispute raised (I'm having crap luck with presents this Christmas!)

At the other end of the customer service spectrum I ordered an Orange Crush bass amp last month from PMT (bricks and mortar shops), it arrived the next day but was the black version. Quick phone call and they’d sent the correct one out for next day delivery with a return label attached for the other which the courier took with him. Easy mistake as the boxes were identical but honestly, who orders a black Orange amp?

I'm eyeballing an American Original 70s Tele Custom, which I absolutely don't need… they seem to be having difficulty shifting the brown ones (which have a nice pub rock vibe IMO), they're already getting on for £500 off, wonder if after xmas there will be further discounts since everyone and their dog has already bought a guitar this year.

Just picked up my acoustic from being set up. Never had it done before, in spite of owning the guitar since being a teenager. The case is a new acquisition too - hoping to come back to playing again.
So... it's really worth getting guitars set up, isn't it? It no longer requires feats of strength to fret chords. I'm really pleased, so here's a shameless 'look at my guitar':

Does anyone want to buy a vox ac10 c1 cream in as new condition (used a handful of times in the house), £320? Too loud for me in a houseshare. I have downgraded to an ac4 which should be more suitable. Would be collection from Bristol or heading home to Derbyshire for Christmas tomorrow and could bring it with me

Just recieved this Ernie Ball Polyspun strap, purchased with the windfall graciously recieved from @Fatberg in the great strap sale of 2020.
I love it! It's remarkably heavy, obviously a result of the amount of material in it for the webbing, which almost makes it feel like the weighted anxiety blanket of guitar straps and the webbing gives it a little bit of flexibility and springiness which feels fantastic too!
Really chuffed with it, will definitely buy one or two more and only disappointed they don't do more colours!

managed to falteringly play along to "You shook me all night long" from top to bottom, solo included. all i need now is a drum machine and a sequencer and i can sack off this day job shit and make a living playing pub bingo nights in Romford.
those Audio Technica ear goggle recommends were spot on by the way. even got some buds for the missus.

Another vote for Mono, I've not got one (yet, hoping I can convince custom bass builder to give me one with bass instead of hardcase) but any I've ever encountered have been really nice well made things.
