I've the Boss Waza Air, which have really low latency. For me they're really good.

Put the Bigsby on the Riviera this morning. Think I might have ballsed up the fitting because one of the screws won’t pull flush. Despite that, it looks feels and sounds great.

Also, it eliminates all the creaking sounds I got from the old tailpiece

I really like it - they do look the part on those guitars.

Whoa. That looks the business. How does it sound and play?
-
• #9834
lovely!

That's really nice! That looks like a single piece of wood rather than book-matched pieces. Was that a specific choice?
Did you carve the neck?
-
• #9836
Oh boy that is absolutely lovely!
Kind of reminds me of Kerry McCoy's Dunable Moonflower a bit (which also makes me think a big massive hifi knob could look great on yours too)
-
• #9837
no, your a massive hifi nob etc.

That is pretty cool actually. and thanks for the goodies posted this week @Nahguavkire and @BleakRefs. Happy Christmas to meeee!

In turd polishing news, the bBgsby appears to massively improved the unplugged and plugged in tone of the Riviera. Still think I want new pickups though. I have antiquities on the tele and am really impressed with them.
Any other other recommendations? I'm after something PAFish. I like a bit of microphony but not too squally.

Cheers. I didn’t carve the neck; I’m halfway through making an acoustic (all from scratch, neck included (in evening classes and this was to keep me occupied during lockdown. I don’t have a jigsaw at home so bought-in a neck.
A hi-fi knob could be fun. At the moment it’s got a chicken-head amp knob.

You're most welcome chap, hope they're a success! I immediately ordered myself one of those Ernie Ball Polyspun straps with the spoils so looks like a win all round!
Re: Pickups I will stand atop the hill and wave the flag for Lindy Fralin to my death. I'm sure there are others out there that are top notch but I've never been anything short of mesmerised at how good Fralins are.
The other one I would recommend thereafter would be a small builder in Northern Ireland called Deacci. I've not got first hand experience but I've hear a lot of good things!

more ear goggle chat
are there any decent, over-ear bluetooth ones that also have a wired option built in / or vice versa?
-
• #9845
Audio technica m50 x bt - not sure if they are any good tho - I have the standard wired version - sound great to me

Hung my guitars on the wall - vain hope I will play them more - seems unlikely. The Hercules hangars are great tho. The Epi needs a setup - I upgraded pickups and tuners but I don’t like the feel and Im pretty sure the intonations off - bought when I was 16 and wanted to be Noel Gallagher/ Dave Grohl. Tanglewood super folk from Andy’s on Denmark street - my dad took me on my 14th birthday bought me lunch and let me choose. I’ve played it a lot - feels like an old friend.

Nice! Just a note: I have a very similar Tanglewood superfolk. The narrow shape of the Tanglewood headstock means that the hercules hangers actually sit up against the bottom two tuners, rather than the weight of the guitar being taken on the shoulders of the headstock. It's not caused any problems for me and those guitars aren't exactly heavy, but it might be worth checking that the little screws that hold the tuners to the back of the headstock are nice and snug so they don't wobble every time you take it on and off the hanger.

yeah fam. i've got my eye on those as we speak. not cheap, but better than buying twice.
are those they in your pic?

Just ordered new thomastik flat wounds for the Eastman. If they come today I’m going to drop it for a good seeing too with the guitar whisperer in Silverlake.
25 bucks for a set of strings though!!

I really like them (the "plectrum" set) on my acoustics. On my electrics i'm way less fussy. Ernie Ball all the way.
am i correct in thinking there's no low latency bluetooth ear goggle solution out there worth writing home about and i should just bite the bullet and shell out for some decent wired ones?
any hive mind recommends?
