  • Nice fret job. I like those tiles too... Was the pic taken in TS’s kitchen?

  • Revelation Marrakesh.
    Microtonal fingerboard for Arabic scales.
    Wilkinson hardware.
    Entwistle pickups.
    c.£240

I've gone down a rabbit hole of wanting either an electric 12-string or a microtonal guitar recently, an affliction which has been violently exacerbated by discovering King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard :(

Would you credit the want came on before I'd heard them!

  • Nah, no B-Bender...

  • The worst thing about those tiles is I never see them anymore, they're invisible... It's only when you cunts remind me they're there that I remember I need to do something about them!! 😂😂😂

  • Hehe! Sorry bud.

Offer on Vibrolux accepted. Fuuuuuck. Haven’t spent this much in in guitar gear in years. Or maybe ever. Feels a bit weird

  • There's a lovely cheap Vibrolux Reverb near me, retolexed in blonde, gold grille cloth and a purple standby light... Bit metro but very nice...

Not a Super Champ tho'... Matey doesn't seem to wanna sell me it all of a sudden, people are weird...

  • This is the one I've had the offer accepted on. Going to go see it on Monday.

    Any thoughts?

  • What's stoking your Superchamp need btw?

  • Well, I’ve bought a Vibrolux.

  • Nice! Do you have it at home yet?

  • Just arrived back with it after a round trip to Essexshire. Seller was a top bloke. Appears to be in great nick and sounds amazing.

  • Serial number puts it at 1973. Original Jensens and some nice Phillips valves. Didn’t check the caps but it seems to have had very limited use and has been serviced. All working as it should.

  • Great!

Great, but what's the amp like?

  • Haha. Yes, thanks Oliver. Good for his age I should say.

Trem does tick a little bit Rick. Got a good price so i'm not bothered. What's the remedy for that do you know? It's only noticeable when not playing.

Been playing a two amp set up with the champ. Sounds aaaaaahmazing.

  • And the piano movers have just turned up to say they are gonna try and get the neighbour's piano in here too...

  • Great success!

  • What a setup, looks ace!

  • Have you bought the piano?

  • Oh NICE. Bring the noise, that looks very clean.

  • Piano was free from a neighbour. Think it’s reasonable quality as the previous owners were classical musicians. It’s been sitting in an empty house for 6 months so it’s gone horribly out of tune on being brought into the warm and dry. Apparently I should leave it to settle for a couple of weeks before getting it tuned.

  • Yeah man the Vibrolux is very clean. Tolex is in great nick and it looks totally unmolested. Best of all though, it smells great. Hot metal and dust. Yeah baby!

  • Meeting that drummer tomorrow and gonna get out to a practice space with new rig ASAP.

  • Wow. What a stroke of luck. Hope it sounds great once re-tuned!

  • Chaps - my old man’s visiting the big smoke today. He was planning a Denmark st visit but are there any guitar shops still there? Any new alternative hotspots? Thanks x
