  • ^ and ^^ cheers lads, I could find string trees for cheaps ($1.5 for a set). :) Fret sprout should be easy to deal with, I'll buy some painters tape and a smooth file soon-ish.

  • Always loved the look of that Solton. Does it really have vibrato rather than trem?

  • Built my partscaster. Not sure whether to go with the mint or black scratch-plate.

  • is that a full rosewood neck and stock? it's fucking lully.

  • Yum!

  • black for sure

  • It is a thing of beauty. I like the pickguard as is actually.

  • Cheers folks.

Yeah, it’s all rosewood. Pain in the neck (plus £70 for the permit) to import it, but the restrictions on rosewood for instruments have been lifted as of this month, so it should be a lot simpler now.

I’m leaning towards the black scratch-plate. Makes the P90 look a bit less Fisher-Price. The pickups are hand made, from Creamery Pickups in Manchester. It’s my first experience with them, and they sound really sweet.

  • Gurt lush that is. My vote’s for black too.

  • That's really nice. I love those pastel shades (are they called surf colours, or have I made that up?). I like the mint for what it's worth.

  • It’s Shell Pink, which is an old Fender custom colour, albeit a bit rarer than some. Don’t know if it counts as ‘surf’ or not, but I can see it.

  • Looks lovely. I love shell pink.
I'd go with the mint pickguard myself.
It looks like you have both though, so no need to choose!

  • Bloody lovely, and I'd definitely go with black.

  • NPD : I haven't had a chance to try this out yet but I was so impressed by the build quality and packaging I felt I had to share.

Purchased this "Tom'sline Engineering Mario AMO-3" bitcrusher I spotted while browsing wish.com.

In the extremely spendy feeling fold-over lid box with magnetic clasp were a sticker, a user manual the pedal (packed extremely well) and a pre-cut velcro for the pedal.

Build quality is really impressive and the buttons, switch and pot all feel very smooth and of good quality.

€21 + €11 postage. Outrageous stuff. I'll report back after I get to plug in later in the week.

  • Outrageous price - cost of parts can’t be much less than that.

  • Just made a cheeky offer on a 1979 Vibrolux

  • But how does it sound??

  • My number came up on one of these so I’m expecting it shortly!

  • That looks nuts... Looking forward to hearing what you do with it!

  • It’s mad isn’t it! For the price, I’m assuming it’s homebrew DSP inside rather than loads of components actually needing that rad case but in demos it sounds amazing. It’s the sort of thing you could build a whole sound around.

  • Price agreed. Just got to arrange a test drive.

  • What's that? At least, what's going on with the frets?
