absolutely - just that... in it's current incarnation, it does look a bit "one man band playing Satriani covers in a Romford 'spoons"... not that there's anything wrong with that.

If it was mine and having work done it would 100% be getting a monkey grip just before it got painted.
Also, I say paint it - showy neck veneers always look better covered up to my eyes ;)

If it were mine I'd go fluoro pink for the whole body, front, back and sides... I love super-strat, metal guitars, never actually owned one but still have a deep hankering for an OG Kramer Beretta...
I love that Bilinda in MBV had a pink hair metal guitar for a long time, she played a bunch of those things... Her Surfcaster was probably the 'coolest' Charvel ever got...

Nuno really is so dreamy <3
I completely agree on the aesthetetic, that's why I sold the first one I owned. I actually would have preferred to buy one of the new Prestige AZ models which are a lot more tasteful.
I'm probably going to paint the top and leave the back and sides as they are, something 50s-ish and mild mannered to tone it down a bit, I would go Shell Pink but I'm already planning to get my PRS Custom 22 repainted in Shell Pink...These are nice.

Finally bagged a 93 duo-sonic, been after one for a while to run as a short scale nashville tuning plinky plonk guitar. It's the rather nice blonde finish but I already have a blonde guitar so going to rattle can nitro shell pink over the top with the hope that it will wear nicely

Weird, I've never been on this thread (maybe because I'm a shit guitarist). I'm just looking at Fender Duo Sonic to replace my ancient and terrible Jim Deacon Jackson replica.
I play rhythm in punk band, sort of NOFX / Dillinger Four / Lawrence Arms influenced and hoping the Duo Sonic would give a nice distorted sound through my Orange Micro Terror.
Anyone else playing this combo?

the 90's issue are tiny - 22.7" scale so i wouldn't have it as your main guitar for sure. also little single coils aren't ideal for punk style imho, get yourself a LesPaul JNR or a melodymaker maybes. the modern ones are 24" scale so not so bad

yeah me too but my bullet is blonde already and this is a cheap enough guitar to not be concerned about value loss doing a refin.

and shell pink worn over blonde will look this eventually (it already has a fair amount of chips and scrapes)

Looks cool! Would definitely have a Capri Orange one with double singlecoils at some point I reckon!

I'm just trying to say nice things, not my bag at all but I get that it's probably a very well made, high quality shred stick...
