I found this article when doing my research. I’m scared I’d make it worse which I’m sure I would. Now that I’ve had a few days playing it it really isn’t that bad. I just hope it doesn’t get any worse.

The only compressor is the Keeley c4 compressor.

Make compressors great again

+1 rep.
Jokes aside I can't decide if I need to buy a new CS-2, have mine repaired or find a different compressor for guitar?
I love it for bass but it's quite noisy in the signal chain when you're trying to play clean-ish guitar stuff. -

full on 80s Charvel craquelure. In purple, obvs

Would actually be rad... What colour though and does it run the risk of segueing into overly eighties (is that even a bad thing?)
Edit: I see your as it... I'm very much torn :(

sick af.

That is very gnar. I had been leaning towards something 50s/60s like Burgundy Mist or Foam Green but who knows now...

Does that belong to the old guy from the Pedals and Effects show? He seems to have that sticker on all his pedals...
PS That show is so rubbish...
-
• #6063
That is a pedal belonging to the "old guy" from pedals and effects who happens to be Juan Alderete ex of The Mars Volta and Racer X (amongst others) and one of the greatest (and most musical) bassists of all time by my estimation!

Ha! No offence intended to your musical hero, just not a fan of his playing... I've tried to watch that show a few times and always turn off after two or three minutes...
I'm really bored with the current trend for wobbly pedals, it is just so dull... Everyone with the same old boring stuff... More noise please...
That's mostly directed at the Knobs channel, it's just the same wobbly rubbish every single episode and now they've decided to go modular synth so that's the next trend for dickheads with offset EGCs, Strymon/Earthquaker pedalboards and 80s Peavey amps...

Enough old man moaning, here's the new guitar... An offset I can put through my Strymon/Earthquaker pedalboard into the 80s Peavy Bandit...

Apologies for the multiple posts, on my phone... Needs a bit of work here and there, I think the neck is sitting slightly crooked in the pocket and the action could do with coming down a bit... Will take it into Tym's for a setup this week... Lots of mojo and sounds great through my Twin, which is exactly the way Kim used to play it... Pretty happy with it, it's a strange beast...

Something colourful:) This guy is producing some of my favourite guitar finishes at the minute (nothing wrong with very sharp, bright 80's finishes in my book:))

They're mental!
This is the only (terrible) photo I have of my old one with a rising sun stain with black outline...

Guitar related quandary...
My mates are over from Spain supporting Radio Birdman in Brisbane tomorrow, awesome stuff... I have a recent white Epi Wilshire Pro because Deniz Tek has/played a white Epi Crestwood Custom which belonged to Fred 'Sonic' Smith before he bought it...
I was planning to take my Wilshire along and get Deniz to sign it then flip it to a Birdman fan, should I? I'm not a rich man, I could use the money but I hate flipping generally... Bike parts and sneakers I'm normally OK with but guitars? Seems a bit lame...
What say you? I'll be at the soundcheck anyway, it'll take five seconds...
Side bar: In the late 90s someone with the username deniztek on eBay was selling a Gibson Custom Shop reproduction of his white Crestwood Custom, I didn't buy it, not sure it even made the reserve but it was on ly US$1050 IIRC... Oh boy, I've made some bad choices in my life but that one's a real doozy... I'll also ask him about this tomorrow, whether I take my guitar or not...

Cannot get enough of these lads. Shred City but with so many catchy hooks and pop sensibilities and a tongue in cheek hip-hop/k-pop style aesthetic.
Shred is not dead.
Vox VT40x great can be dialled back due to electricity consumption and noise to neighbours and is loud enough to use as a monitor on stage.
Just use headphones if you want the power to be there when practicing.
Does amp modelling, has a valve or digital option or blend of both.
Digital interface app for your Mac/PC/ipad/iphone etc controller. Kicks ass.
