Brick Lane Bikes - went there on Sunday to get a quote for new wheels. Had such a good experience that I ordered and paid for wheels there and then. Collected on Monday but added new cranks and track nuts to final bill.
Thanks James!

Just Riding Along for being brilliant on ordering part they don't stock and on time before Bespoked Bristol (Pacenti rims).
Fatbirds for being very up front with everything, even thought I did not buy anything there, they're quick in communication on a stock that wasn't available.

Evans on Waterloo Road - the tall ginger bloke is always cheerful, helpful, and knows what you're on about, which is a bit surprising for Evans.

Holdsworth Cycles, recently, have been really helpful to me, with the silly little parts / bearing I needed for my tandem and the Witcomb... Top guys in that shop!

A quick shout out to Leo and cycooldelic on Brixton Road. A friend got a quote from Evans for £180, he went and spoke to Leo who told him what bits to buy and then fitted them all for £30. The parts cost £50 so a tidy £100 savings.
They are going to be launching a cafe/terrace with coffees and teas shortly so worth having a look in

Wiggle, sponsored by Haribo. Worth ordering from them just for that sugary goodness. They are consistently good if a touch pricier than the rest.

a.e. wilson in peckham are cheap and all down to earth
- paul's custom cycles also in peckham i've had good experiences with
also A&W Cylces (http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/directory/1284/2883.php) is really nice since it's just some old dudes in a proper dark, shabby shop. i find that they're really good for finding parts for old bikes which have weird sizing and dealing with older bikes in general.
although they were confused by my TRP road lever breaks (which don't have gear shifters in them) so i'm guessing maybe they're not ones for the modern world. - paul's custom cycles also in peckham i've had good experiences with

JTek Engineering. http://jtekengineering.com/index.php
I've had one of their excellent Alfine bar end shifters for quite a few years. Recently the thing seized up and I didn't know what to do - no amount of WD40 was making a difference. I sent a contact email via their website and got a speedy reply from Ryan, one of the owners. Fixing the shifter was very simple (tightening a bolt) but it wasn't obvious. Ryan was very helpful and even offered to get the shifter refurbished for me if the fix didn't work.
Everyone with Alfine hubs should buy their shifters in my opinion - they shit on the stock shimano ones!

As soon as he makes one for the 11-speed hub I am in. Not holding my breath though.

Swift Cycles. Currently offering a discount on their full service, and had a great chat with some fella about the new Genesis race range. Now my go to 'near-the-office' bike shop.

Highly doubtful, 11 is one too many.

I sent him an email a few weeks ago. He replied "we are currently working on a prototype shifter for that hub." So we'll see, but I doubt it seeing as the hub's been around for several years and if it was going to be as easy as just putting a few more clicks on his existing shifter, he'd have probably done it by now.
Still, replying to my email is the kind of service this thread likes.

Got my first two flats of the season today (well one was a spare tube that was sitting in my bag so long it somehow split) which would have been much worse if it weren't for the lovely Ben in Balfe's Bikes Kennington, who not only whisked my bike off to change the tube but didn't charge me a penny. Legend.

Ben's a top bloke, work with him before.

Planet-X - ordered and received a beany hat but a hole developed in it. Replaced with absolutely no hassle - i was very pleasantly surprised.

Evans on Chalk Farm Road. Went in to get a new inner tube after getting a flat in the pouring rain. Despite already being soaked, the guy in the store insisted that I bring the bike in and change the flat in the shop rather than get more soaked outside.

Osprey - http://www.ospreypacks.com/
I've been using one of their flapjack courier bags since getting my cycle to work voucher back in 2010.
Twice I've stepped on and broken the clips for either the bag or the shoulder strap, twice Osprey have been kind enough to stick a hand full of new clips in the post gratis.
Excellent product that has suffered years of abuse and outstanding customer service.
Does he look like Tintin?
