  • Just unpacked a box from wiggle with 2 WHOLE packets of haribo - and silly quick delivery time (ordered late Sunday, turned up today, very decent considering the bank holiday).

I ordered some stuff from Wiggle late Sunday and it too turned up today :)....

...but I wasn't fcking in and can only make it to the Post Office to pick it up Friday morning earliest. grrrrrr!

I wonder if I got Haribo this time...

  • I've never got haribo from wiggle :(, I feel neglected.

  • Plus, if in Glasgow, go to a bikeshop called Gear. There are too many examples I could give of their kindnesses. They're just ace.

  • I've never got haribo from wiggle :(, I feel neglected.

Neither have I, how many times have you ordered from them?

  • Only 2 or 3 times for relatively cheap things so hardly surprising.

I am a postman and you will never ever receive Haribo ;o)))

    Likewise.

I am glad you are not my postman :)

I won't be suprised if I see an empty wrapper poking out the back of your jeans pocket next time I see you..

  • 14 are just good - the mechanic who is on here, forget his forum name! Fitted 2 bb's for me, 2 seperate occasions, i need to drop you a bottle of wine dude!

Bike Magic always did something for fund raising/prizes for my school when i asked em... been dropping in there from time to time for 8yrs now!

  • nah condom's as your gf loves postmen ;o))))

  • BOT though......

Leisure Lake Bikes were good as when I received my bike from them through the cycle2work scheme the top tube was scratched and without a quibble they refunded me £50

  • High On Bikes, an Ebay seller is quite efficient. Everything paid for before the late afternoon turns up the next morning. Good if you need something in a hurry. Can't complain with Wiggle either.

If you live in East London, there's a Bike Shack shop in Leyton. There's one guy, who's quite knowledgeable and willing to do little adjustments for a little change (my yoof takes his bike there). I had less luck with another guy, who for example never fitted tubs in his life etc. I know we can work out many things on our own, but you'd expect more from a mechanic.
Tour De Ville seem thorough (gee, they can take long:-)) and passionate, but are weary of newbies without visible tatts and Campagnolo cycling caps and the kind of looks one can get from them (HTFU like) can be intimidating at first. Or I'm just paranoid. Anyway, they're cool.

  • +1 for Cycle Shack in Leyton. The american guy is relaxed and helpful. Not met the others yet. Bike Trax on Cambridge Park Road near Wanstead tube station - they gave me a new inner tube to get me home and said I could pay the next day (I did). Nice one guys.

  • I have had fantastic service recovery but piss poor initial service from Evans in Chalk farm (sold me the wrong length of spokes but replaced them after i had built the wheel up with the wrong spokes).

Apologies James. I work in the workshop at Chalk Farm. What was his/her name? I'll fuck him/her up for you.

Brixton Cycles was awesome today. I usually try to get out as quick as possible so that no one tells me off for doing one thing or other to my bike. But since Nhat's been there, I've been sticking around inside long enough to chat with people and it was good.

The American guy is the guy to go to.

  • Swrve uk (chris) is really great, I changed my mind a few times over the fit of some shorts, ending in hand delivery and a free cycling cap - ace service, and great products.

Also my flatmate gets bike stuff sent to my work from wiggle - he knows nothing of the free haribo either.... yum!

  • Edwardes in Camberwell have always been good to me. Always give me great discounts. Let me off a tenner once!

+1 - I had the same thing swapping out sizes with the swrve hoodie last year - great service

  • I love the bike shack!
    Is Ray still there?
    British guy, looks slightly turkish?

  • I always liked going to Brixton Cycles but haven't been for a while as we have a couple of new bike shops around, specially Cyclopolis on Balham High Road, SW12, very friendly and great service. I dropped my bike one evening and the following morning at 10h00 I got a text to let me know it was ready.

And of course The Bike Whisperer.

  • Watch out though for the ginger tattooed wanker at Evans in Victoria - hes a cunt but my kind of cunt.

Better watch out doubly hard, there are two ginger tattooed wankers working in that shop now.

  • On-One, fantastic. My 456 frame has just arrived. Ordered on monday.

  • I've never got haribo from wiggle :(, I feel neglected.

Picked up my package today and got 2 bags of Haribo in the box... fuck yeah.

All I ordered was a chain and a front light.

  • Velo Solo.

    Chapeau good sirs.
