I had those MKS pedals for a while I thought they were great. Real small if you're worried about pedal strike.
Thing about them is they're one-sided, so you need to learn the knack of getting them the right way round.
Clipless FTW.
But if you don't want that shit I'd go for these:
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/mks/gr-9-pedals-ec005316?query=mks%20pedalsWith clips and straps these are by far the most comfy pedals I have ridden. And I've ridden alot - before I went clipless that is. £23 at BLB.

I was told BMX ones can be too large and can catch on the ground when youre going around corners or something.
( I was looking at bmxs ones myself..)I so don't corner that quick or low.

are you fixed or singlespeed? If you're fixed and not running a rear brake then you should be connected to your pedals somehow, with clips or straps - otherwise just find a flat pedal that isn't too sharp edged. like a BMX one or something
Are these Abike Co Hamilton Pedals Unsealed?
I so don't corner that quick or low.
Same here!

is it happening when you try to get the pedals at the right position before moving off at lights etc?
No - more when I've got to carry the bloody thing up stairs and stuff. I'm assuming I'm just a clutz.

Don't worry about that, it's only a concern if you ride fixed and therefore can't lean too far into corners, everyone else freewheels around such bends with outer pedal low.

Did you win?
What on my hybrid? Ha ha ha. I finished in the top 5th though which given my perchance for drink and the occasionaly (regular) fag; thats not half bad. If I'd got some carbon fiber on board yes, I would have won.

Well that's pretty cool, especially if you do the riding section without foot retention. If your banging your legs when you're carrying it upstairs, there's not many pedals which won't hurt a bit, other thn those shite ones which come as standard on low-end bikes. Can you put the bike over your shoulder ?

Yeah defs.... its way lighter than my old bike and goes onto shoulder with ease. Its more like awkward stairwells and hallways and stuff where I do myself harm. These things are just stupidly sharp.

Bottle cage.
Oh I thought that... but couldn't even buy one of those for my race as my bike don't have those holes the screws go into....

i look for speedplay zero on the box for road pedals and time atac for mountain bike shoes
-
• #49
yup
Have these on my touring bike with powergrips(going over to gurneys when mine get made) Spin really smooth and the seals seem pretty good. Will last plenty long enough but they may shed grub screws over the years.
nice and comfy, I've always ridden bmx platforms(not on fixed tho) and the hamiltons are rad.
I DO however smash them into the ground every time I pedal hard through a corner which I really need to stop doing. That said they're holding up just fine and not shinned myself with them since getting the straps. -

I used to think the same but I know some people who would disagree with you..
