Hi all,
I wanted to give you all an update on the plan:
It was naive of me to think that everyone was going to pay immediately, and due to the way this particular Cigar vendor operates, It is unlikely that I will receive all boxes of Cigars before I head off to Glastonbury (Wednesday 23rd).
My new plan is to order the Cigars on Monday 21st so that all boxes will have arrived by my first day back at work (Wednesday 30th). I will then start distributing them straight away. So, unfortunately my Glastonbury trip is effectively adding just under a week onto the cigars delivery time...I hope this is OK with everyone. I do promise that I'll do my best to get the cigars to you as soon as I can once I return (though you guys are going to have to meet me half way - but you should all have bikes so I can't see that being a problem!) ;)
Please do transfer me the money asap, as I'm extremely busy at the mo, and I haven't got the time or energy to chase you guys up for it!
BlueQuinn, ParryMan, IDONothing, vinylvillain, and harrong are in my good books as they have already paid. The rest of you are Slackers!
Cheers,
J.

Cool with me, you were the one willing to sort the group buy.
Have a great time at Glasto, I will keep my fingers crossed for a dry weekend -

I should be meeting forms to pick up on the 3rd, anyone fancy meeting for a beer and a smoke on the river?
-
• #742
I'd probably be up for that.

Might be able to make it i think depending on the very preggers wife.
I am on nights the night before so wouldnt be able to make an early session. -

I'm not a local so will rely on local knowledge for decent pubs with outside seats.

Just smoked my first well stored cigar, a Monte Cristo Petit Edmundo from the humidor room at Davidoff in Picadilly.
Quite a revelation, beautiful easy draw, nice full smoke, developed nicely as it progressed and finished in under an hour sat in the sunshine in the garden with a bottle of Adnams broadside. Left me feeling properly relaxed.
Think I'm going to enjoy this new hobby.
Would love some recommendations for what to go for next. When are you lot going to organise a group smoke?

If you enjoyed the Petit Edmundo, you might want to try the following:
Bolivar Royal Corona
Trindad Robusto T
Ramon Allones Specially Selected
Partagas Serie D4
Juan Lopez No. 2 Robusto
Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No 2 (good rep, though I find it too mild....)....they're all similar length & ring gauge - all cuban (I am slightly biased), although there are excellent non-cubans (e.g. Padron 1926); however, I reckon you'll enjoy these ;-)

on the Partagas and Bolivar
They have such quality throughout their range of cigars.
I like the Epicure range but I agree on their mildness
Trinidads are the prettiest rolled cigars I have ever seen but so far have not excited me as much as the mentioned cigars have

A mini meet has been mentioned for this Saturday.
Weather permitting, sit in the sun, have a guiness and a fat cuban and enjoy the city.
