I've been hoarding and smoking cigars for the last 12 years. It's one of life's great pleasures.
I don't want to burst your bubble, but there is no Partagas - Cohiba. Those are two different marcas.
forms, If you are interested in trying some different sizes and varieties of cigars send me a pm. If anyone else is keen, I'd be quite interested in doing some beers and cigars events.
A good forum for cigar information is www.cigarasylum.com they're good guys there and very knowledgeable and helpful. But UTFS.
If anyone is looking at buying some over the internet, feel free to PM me. I have some reputable vendors with far cheaper prices than the UK.
FYI, La Casa del Habano at 100 Wardour street in Soho still has an area you can smoke indoors in. Although I suspect you will be expected to purchase there as well.

serie D no 4 one of my faves.
i have a Partagas Lusitania in my humidor waiting for the right occasion, fuck knows how much they are to buy over herePartagas is a very reliable smoke. The PSD4 is one of my favourite robustos although it is a size that I have tended to move away from. The Serie P no 2 is amazing but I more and more find myself smoking the shorts.
I know what you mean about finding an occasion for the Lusitania. I have a few of them aging. I have a couple Montecristo A's and Sancho Panza Sanchos that are even more difficult to find the right occasion to set aside 3 hours to smoke. They will most likely just get fired up on a nice summer evening, but that's at least another year away.

do you have a humidor then, D.Generate?
-
• #71
I have a few. I am currently using a couple of wine coolers with humidifiers for aging long-term. I have a couple of pretty little wooden ones but to be honest they look better than they work.
I'm a big fan of using Igloo coolers. They're cheap and work better than most humidors as long as you use a humidifying agent and try to keep them cool in the summer.

I was posting yesterday after a day of drinking. Hopefully they didn't come across as anything more than just being excited to see some cigar talk. I didn't read the whole thread and was mainly replying to the OP.
I would love to see some social get togethers to smoke cigars.

Can anyone tell me if keeping Cigars in the fridge would help increase the time that they stay fresh?
And if not, what's the next best thing to a humidor? And I am well up for a forum Cigar smoking extravaganza!

+1
I go for the £25 Montecristo Tubo for special occasions
They smoke very slowly and you have a tube to stick it back in so you don't mess up the pockets on your jacket.
Great for holidays as they last for days of heavy puffing.
