does it come cut to length gabes?
I'd imagine it'd be a bitch to drill and cut

the lengths we got before were way over a metre each, so had to be cut. I cut mine with a hacksaw, with a brand new blade, and it was fine, takes 2-3 times longer than cutting alu, and you have to stop from time to time for the Ti to cool, The same goes for drilling.
Saying that, this was with grade 2, grades 6 & 9 contain vanadium, which is very hard I believe (used to harden tools). So we'll see, might require TiCarbide or tungsten bits to drill it.

Grade 9 isn't available at all at present, he tried to offer me Grade 7 (0.25% Palladium), which I don't think will be much stronger that what I'm using now, I've asked about Grade 5 (6% Alu 4% Vanadium), fingers crossed we can get some of that.
It appears the only diameter available is the 19.05mm stuff that we already have.

I'm thinking of ordering tomorrow, as I'm away next week, and it will take until 10th september to get the tubing here from Italy/Russia (depending on grade).
It will be the same diameter as we have now, but the grade isn't confirmed yet. If you're fussy, take your name off the list, otherwise I will order as many as are on the list, if you want more than one, please add how many you want after your name.

So, I haven't heard back from the guy yet, but have emailed him today for more details.
Myself, Em and Rik have been testing for a while, and no damage to them yet. The ones we have are Grade 2 (99.9% Ti), and do bend, but a gentle tap over the bars during play returns them to perfect straightness again (Ti has an amazing memory).
I've asked for prices of both Grade 6, also known as 64 (6% Aluminium, 4% Vanadium) and Grade 9 (3% Aluminium 2.5% Vanadium) which is often used for sports equipment. Both will be stronger than the current Grade 2 stuff we have, but I don't know about prices yet.
The current poles came in at just over £20 incl. VAT, these may be up to £30 per pole, but we'll have to see.
The point being, if you can buy a pole and make it last 1+ years, you're saving money in the long run (unless you want to wait for yorgo to bring back millions of poles from paris).
I'd like to get some idea or how many people would be up for getting in on this order, because we should get volume discounts too.
Once we know prices for the different sizes/grades, we can do a more specific list for the final order. Money may have to be paid up front on such a large order, but I may be able to front it depending on my current circumstances.
