The grade we're getting is 7m, a russian alloy standard, the same as Grade 9, Grade 5 is only available as solid bar, that would have to be drilled out! I'm getting prices from him soon…

For 20+ pieces of 1m x 19.05mm Grade 9 (russian 7m), they are going to charge £17.25 incl VAT per metre. Great deal!

I'd say they are about 5 - 10% heavier than your average aluminium ski-pole.
