Oooft. That's a good 'un. Sent around a large number of my medical colleagues already and will probably be shown around during any down-time in clinic tomorrow morning.

Do you think diabetic with such a low dose and being specific to be taken at night?

The foot falling off is the clue I think. GP may have prescribed nightly dose because the patient is perhaps already taking a statin in the evening and has potential compliance problems.

Metformin is not tolerated by those with kidney disease, so the patient might have very bad diabetes/hyperglycaemia but not able to take more than one pill.
