Dunno what it's 'supposed' to sound like but I've had a go on tons of expensive headphones and earphones and the expensive ones are always so bass heavy you can't hear shit.
I genuinely prefer the sound from those ipod phones to all the Beats aircraft pilot headphones.
If my music sounds the same in my earphones as it does when it comes out of my laptop then I'm happy. This is why I'm happy with ipod earphones.
People that fuss about headphones and sound quality are the same people that get arsey about whether or not the inside of their jeans have been embroidered so that they are suitable to be turned up at the bottom.

I also hate looking like a cunt which is another reason I'm happy that I don't prefer the sound in the massive headphones.

I find it very hard to understand sounds with a poor quality headphone, it's harder to distinguish the bass, treble, etc.

I suppose I am a bit arsey with my jean, but least I can able to recognised it better with a decent headphone.
