I made the other person smile - one of these bad boys: =) - which made the bot face angry.

So as far as I can tell, chatbot is just an interface for two real people to chat. I'm guessing it's taking answers between real people and using them as answers for the bot?

cleverbot.com says it is always a computer no matter how convincing it becomes. I think the idea is to make you think its human

Or it's just lying. I haven't tried cleverbot yet, though.
