I had the misfortune to live in Cambridge for 18 months. The lack of humour is not restricted to the Cambridge bit of fgss cyberspace alone.

ive had the pleasure of living in the cambridge for the last, and only, 21 years of my life and find most people to be pretty humourous. even the ones on the forum. apart from bogey, but he cant help that :p
register to post is the way forward i feel.
i just browse the other sections, only posted a few times in the Misc. section in the tattoo thread as there was a lot of talk about the shop i get my work done at, so just added my 2p to the thread.ramble over.

without wishing to repeat myself... londoners got very het-up when cambridge started to post their rides etc in the forum. LFGSS kindly set up a cambridge sub-forum. The rest is history. now since the 'register to post' option has been omitted (recently), anyone can post here.
so, we are allowed to get het-up, as we are merely defending our little piece of internet.
why does this irk people so much?
I was unaware Londonengers got het up - ignore it. it's their issue. You lot are more than welcome on any of the london rides, in fact on our Cambridge rides we arrange to meet you up there on arrival.
But there isn't any need to get need to get annoyed at non-cambridge folk posting in your space, they can add value and a bit of debate.. let it roll.
People don't mind you defending your space but the way in which you are so Anti anyone from outside of Cambridge does give plenty of ammunitionGreasyBoy.. don't change it... share the slippery love!

i think Maidenhead is seriously lacking a sense of humour, as is Swindon

There was this kid at school called Sproule and he had really bad skin and no friends and used to eat worms. His mum and my mum used to arrange for him to come around and play He-man.
It was fucking shit.

you poor little soldier
htfuI did better than that, I GTFO.
Cambridge is nothing more than a small village inhabitated by small minded people in the middle of a bog.
This thread goes some way to validating my opinion.

i can't do those no friends friends whose parents arrange friends through parent networks.
I had one when i was a kid, a young lad, too small for his age, poor, no social skills, bullied and living with his grand parents who so happen to know my Dad, they decided to invite him around so he could play with me..
Wasn't sure then if it was me they were trying to help or him.. i am still not sure? i just block those memories, keep them under lock and key. hard times!.. Fuck it it's all coming back. I am off to Cambridge! -
• #70
What are you talking about Greasy??? You just invited these Cambridge bedwetters on London rides!

I don't know a single person from the Cambridge section (other than me, and i practically live in London anyway) that posts on the main forum.
other people only as much as read the threads on the main forum, most only check the forum for the sub-forum
This proves it...i do not exist!.....as i regularly post on the main section...or Eddie are you denying my existence.....this thread is Stalinist control going potty......lets all agree to live and let live and contribute whereever....with a sense of fellowship and respect for all.....again....localism is a bad thing and so it is proving here!
