-

Yeah, agreed. Levis was the original 'workwear'* company but it's obviously now a worldwide fashion brand
*every cunt wants to be associated with the 'workwear look/trend' at the mo

You talkin about redtab or LVC?
The LVC jeans are still made in USA but most of the t's/shirts/knits are made in Turkey, Portugal and Indonesia BUT what clothes aren't nowadays
I wouldn't say it was 'crap' but overpriced considering. Just as well I don't need to pay full price then ;-)

They've started trying again just recently actually. Levi's Vintage Clothing is pretty fucking good now and the prices are very competitive.

I'd have to disagree. LVC jeans were £125 10years ago, then £135, then £155 for about 3years up until last year.
Now £215!! Same jean, almost double in cost

Inflation?
-
• #192
I wasn't actually thinking of the denim, as daft as that sounds when talking about Levis.
Fuck me those chevrons are getting boring
-
• #193
Inflation?
Nothing to do with it
They've done it to move away from Lee/Edwin etc prices, to be seen to be more premium. Plus LVC have never made any money until last year
-
• #194
TBF, I love LVC, have done for years. Think the t's and shirts are spot on!
The new SS11 stuff is ream! In CINCH in 2-3 weeks

Not true, they're skimping on the quality of the cloth now... They used to use historically accurate weights of denim, not anymore... Don't get me started...

They still are, early 20's/30's are 10oz, then 12oz up to mid 80's
-
• #197
I wear 55's & 66's, both 120z, exactly the same as the ones I bought back in the early/mid 90's which I still have. These of course are modelled 99% to spec from way back when
