  • still checking diary blah regarding next weekend

  • ^^^^^^^^^
    I haven't got a clue what that means and I ain't trawling through 474 threads to try and figure it out.!

  • That's because your class is riddled with impurities.

  • Why is Will being more of a dick than he usually is (on this thread)?

  • He benefitted today from Petacchi going early, so he got a perfect lead out from him. Petacchi went early on purpose, he wanted points for the green jersey and didn't want to get boxed in so second or third was fine for him.

    yes, but it's also fair to say that he he was able to benefit from it by some canny riding and positioning, wouldn't you agree?

    Careful.

    I'll have to wait until my opinion logs on again to answer that.

  • Careful.

    Seconded.

    Ha.

  • Seconded.

    really?
    that didn't seem that bad.

  • careful.

  • Cav is f***ing awesome, and anyone who says different needs a reality check (or some other similar cliche - and I can't be bothered to find the correct key for the accent, pedants). Won with the train, won without the train, yah boo sucks!

    And while we're at it, before everyone has a go at Wiggins, he's just suffering from the 2 Tour curse, exactly the same Millar used to.

    So shut it all you haters (and other similar cliches).

  • I think Wiggins is also suffering from the overweening Sky team arrogance, their certainty that they knew better, that they could revolutionise the way riders and teams prepared and performed and then layered on top of that a pretty unappealing PR sheen. Had they been a little more humble then Wiggins' failure might have provoked less schadenfreude.

  • Oh, stop it with with the foreign words already, poser.

  • And other words beginning with 'p'.

  • pastry?
    pickle?
    pudenda?

    oh bill. that's wrong.

    poseur

    Zabel reportedly said yesterday: 'I've never seen anyone like him.'

  • **Land of Our Birth
    **By: William Henry Gill

    LAND of our birth,
    O gem of God's earth,
    O Island so strong and so fair;
    Built firm as Barool,
    Thy throne of Home Rule
    Makes us free as thy sweet mountain air

    Ye sons of the soil,
    In hardship and toil,
    That plough both the land and the sea,
    Take heart while you can,
    And think of the Man
    Who toiled by the Lake Galilee.

    When fierce tempests smote
    That frail little boat,
    They ceased at His gentle command;
    Despite all our fear,
    The Saviour is near
    To safeguard our dear Fatherland.

    Let storm-winds rejoice,
    ' And lift up their voice,
    No danger our homes can befall;
    Our green hills and rocks
    Encircle our flocks,
    And keep out the sea like a wall.

    Our Island, thus blest, No foe can molest;
    Our grain and our fish shall increase;
    From battle and sword Protecteth the Lord,
    And crowneth our nation with peace.

    Then let us rejoice
    With heart, soul, and voice,
    Ad in the Lord's promise confide;
    That each single hour
    We trust in His power
    No evil our souls can betide

    FTFy.
