Fail, he crashed twice. The second one he didn't fall over on but he lost his bike and was definitely scanning the crowd for a pram full of toys.

The final crash, with the Euskatel guys, wasn't a crash, he stepped off his bike and stood in the middle of the road looking lost.

You can't count the third one as an Armstrong crash. He stops in time and is stood up.

Much closer to the podium than the human vuvuzella Cadel Evans last year.

Wow, good argument there. Cadel's finished on the podium twice and is current world champion wearing the yellow jersey. Grand Tour rider comparison fail.

"I had an entanglement today.. real annoying, lost some more time, some paint, no skin off though"

The point is that, crash or not or whatever, he lost time there, although his body language already says 'I've had it' and he's not making a quick effort to recover his bike.

I realised that a long, long time ago.
No World Cup, rest day in the Tour, wtf am I supposed to do this evening??

I was saying exactly that to a work colleague earlier. I haven't got a clue either
