Just checking - the same applies here, Holy David was British until he got busted, then he was a jock.
The delicate political bias of and opportunism of English sports commentary in a nutshell.

cracks me up reading this, yesterday " he looks fucked" today "hes crying"
some writers here are falling foul of the same affliction the world cup wingers had, expectations.
--impossible for us to imagine what it must be like racing in this one,
I for one rate Cavendish as even more real after today- come on Engerland.I have now taken my cheap england flags off the car and have attached them to the bike so everyone knows who I'm supporting!
You have been warned!

I think Spartacus is looking strong-and he's always got his backup motor so I think he might do well if he doesn't implode on the mountain stages. Armstrong's probably got a few tricks up his sleeve but I just think there's too many younger legs out there-he's looking worn out in comparison. Will he finish higher than Cancel-the-sprint-lara? I don't think so.
I'm liking the way wee Evans is looking anyway-didn't happen for him last year so I reckon he'll be duelling with Contador over the weekend when the pain badger emerges from its set.
Anybody wanna tell me why he's called Sparticuor is it back to UTFS... Taxi...

'Cos he rides like a fucking GLADIATOR apparently. Or the Duracell Bunny.
Spartacus sounds better tho, innit.

Thats a hell of rep.
What trumps rides like a gladiator?
Rides like a Mod on Mayday? - FAIL.
Appologies for those too young for the historical reference.

I like to be slightly demure in my winning predictions....
but IN YOUR FACE! YEEEEEEEEEEES!
SUCK MY BIG, FAT, OVER-FERTILE, HAIRY, ENGLISH BALL BAG, HIPPY!
TWENTY MOTHER-FUCKING PENCE!My wife is going to suck me off sooo good when she knows an Aussie is paying this month's rent.
She'll suck me off ALMOST as good as Cav used to do, back in the day!I heard that they let McWeeNun serve cream teas in the HTC bus afterwards, wearing nothing but a frilly apron and some cheap court shoes, just so he could get a whiff of what victory smells like.
It feels like I won the sprint, all on my own, riding my lovely baby blue fixie.
Sweeeeet.

Oh shit! The silly bollocks is blubbing like a proper lass on the podium! No, no, NO! Get off, never show weakness! He hasn't sobbed like that since I grabbed him by the ears and... well, you don't really want to know.
Hippy.
Put the twenty pee in a charity box.
I want witnesses though.
I know what you Australians are like. -

TWENTY MOTHER-FUCKING PENCE!Lucky I bet a workmate £1 Cav would win..
I'm still going to steal the 20p I pay you from an Englishman.. that'll teach you to colonise countries with criminals.

Don't make me laugh.
Your big fat clumsy Aussie fingers would fumble nicking a manhole cover, never mind twenty pee!
I heard they had to make special keyboards for you at work - using cobbles for keys.
And you still keep wearing out the 'delete' key.And you wouldn't know what a quid looks like, no matter how long you've been in blighty.
They've been paying you in buttons all this time, hippy.
Buttons!
It's a conspiracy - pay Aussies in buttons, giggle behind their backs as they try pay for Billabong burgers in buttons!
I don't want buttons, my friend.I want a sweet twenty pee.

due to post swim insomnia i had to watch yesterday's stage at 4am this morning. looking forward to the mountains.
i can't decide what i think of cav. can someone tell me? i don't like his stumpy little arms and legs. he looks like a carnie. small hands etc... plus he's moody, arrogant, sulky but occasionally brilliant. mind you that could apply to half the peloton. they're not a personally likeable bunch, pro cyclists are they?

AndyP: what do you have on Haussler?
He's rumoured to be working with a certain Italian doctor based in St Moritz.

Thanks to Cavendish for winning my bet for me, not that he would win yesterdays stage but that he would cry when he finally won one. I think he's excellent as a mid-distance sprinter but wish to god he wouldn't do interviews, he's a national fucking embaressment, and he's not even from this country.
Still a little disappointed that Evans hasn't gotten into any of the big crashes because I've got him down for flailing at a reporter like a girl guide.

Four Cat 4s and three sprints today. Looks like this may be a day for Hushovd to go out for points.

Good sprint - got out well and held it for a long time. Eddy BH has an engine on him doesn't he?
I was seriously impressed by EBH. Love the fact that he was led out by Thomas too, they could hand out a handful of white jerseys this year. The Norwegian commentators seemed to forget Thor, as Edvald started sprinting.
Cav and HTC rode well though. It was obvious some of the teams had smelt blood yesterday, and wanted to disrupte the HTC, above all else.
