Not heard of these before. Are they any good? How do they perform when wet?
-
• #4329
A lot of MTBers/commuters here that still use vbrakes instead of discs swear by them for their grippiness in the wet and especially in snow. I think they're excellent, especially for the price. Plus they come in pink!

do they squeak?
-
• #4331
Not really as long as you toe them in. I use them on non machined rims and they're fine until it gets really cold (-10ish) but most pads are like that anyway.
Any complaints I've heard are from bmx kids that can't adjust their brakes properly.

I got 36h rigida dp18 laced to gun metal shimano 105 hub, would like to swap for something similar with a disc hub...? Could also do a part exchange with a bit of cash for something nice.

Gloves
I would'nt recommend these. They don't hold up very well.
I got some cheap warrior lacrosse gloves last year and they are still holding up quite well. A few small holes here and there but with a little bit of hockey tape they'll be fine for a couple of months more.. -

I'm selling a Thomson stem. It's black and 70mm long, no rise, 25.4 clamp and I'm after £40.

Snoops, might be worth asking Chris Pickering, I know he was after one a few months back, and was prepared to wait for me to sell mine.... I won't be doing that though, thumb injury has put a hold on any changes to my polo cockpit.
